Meet Napoleon! While we do not know his exact breed mix, he has a Great Dane look and is currently 100 pounds at 1 year old! Pictures do not do him justice; he is a truly beautiful dog with sleek black fur.

He won't believe he's not a lap dog, so when he tries to snuggle "next to you", he's on top of you more often than not. Napoleon is a loveable goofball who likes to play with his toys. Whether he's chasing a ball for fetch, playing tug with a rope, or carrying around and cuddling with a stuffed animal, he'll always offer you a chance to play too. He loves nothing more than being around his people. He often comes up to you and puts his head on your hand just to say hello and sneak in an extra ear rub (his favorite). And if you do it just right, he'll lean into you and practically melt onto the floor!

Yazu is a great dog who is sweet & playful and looking for a forever home! Yazu loves to play with other dogs (he could prefer male dogs) who match his energy. He would be bothersome to a dog that doesn't like to exercise but would be great as the only dog in the household or with a pup looking for a playmate!

Dexter is a smooth, steady, rock solid guy. He's all about meandering walks with plenty of stops to smellvestigate and read his peemail. His pace is pretty glacial and this is a guy who does not sweat the small stuff and prefers not to work up a sweat, period. So, if rushing and stressing and making to-do lists are your jam, this is probably not the dude for you, as Dexter hurries and hustles for no one. Dexter enjoys meeting new people and likes but never demands attention. In short, he's the coolest dog. Dexter exudes cool. We have not tried Dexter one-on-one with other dogs here at the shelter, but he's given us a couple of hints he'd prefer to be your one-and-only, if you're good with that. If so, he would be an amazing companion for someone who enjoys kicking back and shooting the breeze on the weekends. He's up for adventure but is more or a glamper than a puptent live-off-the- land kind of guy. Interested in this hunk? Put in an application ASAP.

We've been calling puppy 392 Dobby, and her adorable ears fit the part! She is great at playing independently and settles down fairly quickly for bedtime or when she wants to nap. She loves attention and has grown to follow me around like an adorable shadow. Dobby is doing such a great job with potty training as long as she goes out about every 3 hours, but she usually sleeps through the night without needing a potty break! She's already learning commands like sit and stay, too! Whoever her future family is, she will love you so much and will show her cute wiggle butt to prove it 🙂

This cutie is Tanker, a 3-year-old, 62-pound, sweetheart of an English Bulldog looking to find his family.

Tanker has a personality as big as his heart and is one giant goofball. He is an absolute lover to those he trusts, but it takes a moment to build as he can be afraid of new people and needs time to become comfortable. Once he does, you’re in for life.

This boy LOVES walks, playing tug is a close second, and ball comes third. He also loves wresting with the resident husky/golden. Although he has high energy as far as English Bulldogs go, Tanker is not a distance runner. A daily (at least) mile walk is a must to ensure he gets to smell all the smells.

Benito! From Bedford, NH🐾

This friendly pitty's name is Benito, which means "blessed." He is a sweetheart with a lot of love to give, so perhaps that's why his former owners gave him such a lovely name?
Benito came to the shelter due to housing restrictions - his former owners lived in close proximity to neighbors and Benito was too vocal for them.
When he first arrived at the shelter, Benito was a little overwhelmed, so he was a bit of a "low-rider" in the yard as he began to explore the layout. But within a couple days, he seemed to get over his feelings of nervousness and then he decided to become a lap dog. He's made friends with several shelter staff members, and he enjoys nothing more than climbing into their laps for cuddles and pets!
We're not sure how Benito would do with other dogs, so if there were a resident dog in the home, we'd want to do a dog meeting at the shelter to ensure personalities seemed to work. No cats for this guy! Older respectful children might be okay.
