My interest in horses began when we got our first horse when I was about 15. Prior to that I was interested in more artistic and decorative metal work, so I did an evening course in Blacksmithing at Plumpton College whilst I was studying for my GCSE’s. But having seen the Farrier working with our horse I decided that Farriery was the career for me! From secondary school I went on to do my Farriery
Access course at Brinsbury College, and from there I got an apprenticeship with Chris Peacock Farriers Ltd. During my 4 year apprenticeship with Chris and going to Warwickshire College, I worked and studied alongside some very talented Farriers that constantly pushed me to better myself. I sat my Diploma in November 2012 and passed with distinction in theory, then graduated in March 2013. I currently work one day a week sub-contracting to Chris Peacock farriers Ltd. But continue to build my Client base, looking to help horse owners achieve the best from their horses, with the skills I have learnt and continue to learn.
