Horse friends -- help me find this girl a new pasture!

Call Me Gen and Tonic (Gen) is a 3-year-old buckskin mare by Call Me John Wayne. She will stand approximately 14 hands tall when fully mature. Gen has a tremendous amount of potential -- she could easily adapt to just about any job. She is intelligent and wants to work. On the trail, she's been exposed to (and has no problems handling) water, mud, rocks, walkover downed trees, jumping downed trees, and ponying another horse. We have not yet done any work on developing her gait, but her natural gait indicates rail show horse potential with training.

I'm finding that, despite her potential, I do not have the time to finish her that I thought I would.

The farm owners are looking to get out of the breeding business and focus on more leisure equine activities. After we get the last two mares bred in the next month or two, they are interested to see if there is anyone interested in discussing our stud Shadow's Big Score (TWHBEA #21103178). He's a great producer of awesome foals that have great potential as trail and show horses.

Well with all the other things going on the farm we haven't had a chance to introduce you to our newest Call Me John Wayne c**t out of a Chocolate Factory mare. Here is Call me Jack Frost and by the looks of things will have quite the potential of making an impact in the show ring.

We had our second foal lastnight around 2:30 AM and our newest Shadow's Big Score filly out of our Call Me John Wayne mare Sophie. We've not setteled on a name just yet so any suggestions would be appreicated for this Saint Patrick's Day filly.

We are ready to discuss Call Me Gen and Tonic is a stout buckskin filly born on August 28, 2021 at the Broken Tree Farm, Crossville, TN. She is out of Tanqueray And Tonic (Dam) and Call Me John Wayne (Sire). Her sire is currently at the Rising star in Shelbyville and is a proven producer of champion show horses! Call Me Gen and Tonic is one out of only three babies born to Call me John Wayne this year. She’s halter broke and leading and should mature to the high side of 15 hands.

Out for a ride today on Sophie, a 2017 John Wayne mare. It was really impressive, Sophie has been out on maternity leave for nearly an entire year. But based on today's ride, you never would have known it. She was an absolute champ and acted like she'd never missed a day.

You really can't go wrong with John Wayne offspring. We have three more due soon and will have two more this fall with another fresh crop coming 2022. If you are looking for John Wayne offspring, only a select number of mares were bred this past year. These mares will provide the only babies available this year and into the spring. Stay tuned over the next little bit to the page. New babies ariving soon!

Right now having the camera with pan and tilt was worth every penny we paid for it. This is a short clip panning from Bea over to Mem. Mem should foal any day now and Bea should be ready in the next month. Both are in foal to Call Me John Wayne. 2 of the only 5 or 6 John Wayne Babies that will be available this year.

Now up for discussion is Call Me the Dude (TWHBEA #: 22100491) born on May 14th of this year. The Dude is a stud c**t by Call me John Wayne and out of Snowy River's Magic Girl. He is a Palomino-Sabino with some interesting facial markings. He should be ready to be weaned towards the end of the summer. Should mature to be around 15.1-15.2 and will probably be more on the refined side and have a good disposition for pretty much anything you could want to do. His gait shows promise if you are looking for a show horse, and his build could lead him down the road of a model horse. As with all John Wayne babies, his level of intelligence and curiosity offers much in the way of Versatility and trail riding potential. This guy is very much a blank slate and will be able to fit into any role you desire.

Our cameras are great at keeping tabs on our mares about to foal. We do have some spiders with a cheeky side to them. Oh, if you don't know spiders glow like the sun when put under IR light.

Mem should be having her next Call Me John Wayne baby in the next few weeks. Depending on what she has, could make some of our last year and current crop of John Wayne babies move into the discussion category. We also have our next mare due in about 6 weeks. So stay turned.

Meg snuck in and foaled about 10 minutes after feeding this morning. Waited just long enough for us to be off the farm this morning. Can't see well enough to determine color just yet.

With Meg getting close to foaling, we got our foal cameras and IR lights up. Using these has been a real game changer for us. Not having to go into the barn for checks means less likely chance of us interrupting the mares. Also, it helps we have a few really good friends on 2nd and 3rd shifts that can help keep an eye on the mares.

Well, Meg (Snowy Rivers Magic Girl) is about ready to hatch again, in foal to Call Me John Wayne. Should be anytime in the next two or three weeks. Meg (Palamino sabino) has about equal chances of producing: cremello, buckskin, Palamino, perlino, and sabino variants of each of these. If you are needing a sharp-looking baby then you need to stay tuned, based on her last two babies you won't be disappointed.

Some of you may have noticed that it has been a little quiet over here at BTF. We have been working on making Call Me John Wayne more accessible to a wider audience. Our facilities are just not set up to accommodate the amount of interest that John Wayne has generated, nor are we able to collect for AI and shipping materials. We have decided to stand John Wayne at Rising Star Ranch. Anyone who is interested in a contract just needs to hop on over to RisingStar Ranch.
