Hello, everyone. My name is Moka. Oliver’s little sister. Our person says that even though she rarely has a problem putting words in our mouths, sometimes she has a hard time getting them out of her own. I’m not sure what that means, but she asked me to tell you all that we are very sad.

Oliver left us last Wednesday (September 27, 2023). He didn’t take his own advice and had a massive seizure the night of his last post. Our person took me to a friend’s house and with the help of another friend took Oliver to the ER (I didn’t know what that was, but I do now. That’s another story.) He was supposed to come home Tuesday, but didn’t. I could tell my person was worried, so I pestered her until she relented and let me practice my tricks.

I saw him briefly in the back of our car last Wednesday morning, he looked really tired, and all the people were crying. Our person was in the back with him, and her friend drove them away. When she picked me up, Oliver wasn’t in the car. My person said they went to see Dr. Tracy ( I LOVE HER!) because she always make us feel better, so she knew Oliver wouldn’t worry or get scared. She also said that Oliver had to go ahead to keep our seats on the couch warm. I guess that’s ok, as long as he only “holds” my seat…I prefer my seat cool.

I miss him. I know he wasn’t thrilled when I arrived, but after I won him over, he was an awesome big brother. He taught me a lot, like how to put my toys away and that toys are friends, not food. I could almost always get him to play with me, and I could always make him bark at the phantom squirrels…but not abandon his chewies (darnnit).

My person says I have big paw prints to follow, but she knows I will (my paws are just as big as Oliver’s, so that shouldn’t be a problem).

Monday Survival Tip #98: Don't have a seizure. (I did. No fun. Never again, paws crossed.)
Update: I was snoozing after dinner and it started again. My person says it was over 30 minutes. I'm seeing a doctor at a different place now cuz it's night time.
Update 2: My person says I have to stay over night here. I'm not happy about that, but she said she'd save my bedtime cookie.
