Animal cruelty charges.
Some of the hardest times doing this job are having to relive each act of animal cruelty over and over while writing the criminal charges and bringing the evidence to court.
Currently we have over 100 animals in our care who have been subjected to abuse and neglect. They are recovering and getting the medical care and love they need. (YES, criminal charges are pending.)
Many agencies have taken advantage of our free humane police training and are more effectively handling animal cruelty complaints, and acting when they see it. We are attempting to conduct more of the training courses in all areas to have a longer reach in helping animals from afar.
I am super proud of the work we have done and the relationships with other police agencies that have been built. These relationships are imperative for the successful prosecution of the s**t bags that abuse animals.
As the police officers get reassigned to other areas of the state, they will still call me for help with criminal investigations, forensic services including evidence recovery.
The courts and prosecutors are getting very used to seeing me in court each week and they are learning more about the investigations, animal cruelty and they are pushing for harsher punishments, assistance and reform.
We owe this to all you supporters. We will never forget how you all made this possible. Even when I am rescuing the animals and when I am loading the abused helpless animals into the rescue vehicles, we are reminded that it is you who makes this possible. Sincerely, thank you.
If you would like to help animals get to safety and have abusers charged, we can really use monthly donors. As with everything else in this economy, our costs have risen. Vehicle costs, fuel, tolls, repair costs, rescue equipment, insurance, and forensic supplies have more than tripled.
Unfortunately, because our vehicles have so many miles on them, we are starting to break down more often, and in multiple cases, were not able to make it to rescue the animals.

Zander is 3 month old male mini aussie/poodle mix who weighs 6 pounds. This adorable puppy is deaf and may have limited vision in one eye, but he gets around just fine. He loves to play at his foster home and loves treats. He has learned to sit on command, plays with toys, and is about 50% potty trained. He enjoys the company of other dogs and follows them around, is fostered with cats and kids as well. Zander has done great in the car and he is learning to walk on a leash as well. UPDATE
In the 100-degree weather, our volunteers are out in this heat, trapping the next round of cats from the HOARDING CASE of hundreds of cats

We are so thankful for our village and those who have stepped up to help so far. We are now up to 82 cats rescued from this property on top of the 64 dogs rescued from the dog hoarding property.

All of these animals rescued needed spay and neuter surgeries, vaccinations, testing, microchips, and boy has our vet been busy. We have completed spays and neuters on all 64 dogs, 5 encleations, and 59 cat spay/neuter surgeries. We also came across many cryptorchids, umbilical hernias that needed repair, and even a bladder stone. All of these extras just add to the cost of care. We anticipate all of the vetting and care for these animals to cost approximately 25K.

A $5 donation goes a long way! Give up your starbucks for a week, ask your friends and family, and please share! These animals depend on us to help them, and we are committed to giving them a new lease on life.

She loves attention, is her foster moms shadow, and loves to sleep in bed. She's the first one at the food bowl every meal and she cannot wait to meet her new family. Update on Daisy.

Although Daisy is weak and struggling, she is maintaining, and showing signs of progress. The abuse she suffered was very hard on her, and coupled with all the circumstances surrounding her rescue, she is clearly overwhelmed. She relaxes when she is cuddled and loved. She is already screaming when I have to leave her. She will now know love in the arms of Justice.

Animal Abuse Investigation:

A collaborative effort involving 8 rescue individuals from various agencies successfully saved a dog from imminent death.

Prompted by a call for help from a local police officer in Delaware County, PA, we rallied together to provide the necessary assistance.

Justice Rescues chief of the animal cruelty investigation division (ACID) is currently en route on a 6-hour journey to transport this rescued dog, named Daisy, to our forensic vet for a comprehensive recovery plan.

Sadly, another dog was discovered deceased during the operation, whom our Chief has named Rose. Rose will undergo a thorough necropsy to determine the extent of abuse and the cause of death.

Further details will be shared in the coming days, as this case is part of an ongoing police investigation, limiting the release of specific information.

With the support of our community through donations, Justice Rescue has the technical resources to conduct a meticulous forensic investigation in collaboration with our veterinary team to gather evidence for prosecution.

Without Forensics, these cases go unanswered. Thank you for the support that provides this service.

BREAKING NEWS we just took in the largest local humane recovery case of dogs and cats that we’ve seen in recent history. 29 small dogs and puppies as well as 15 cats and kittens from single property. The dogs range in age from newborn to adult. Our team scrambled to find space for them and has been working hard to do initial medical evaluations so we can get an understanding of what support they need from us. We are committed to giving them a fresh start, but we can’t do it alone. This surrender brought the total intakes in ONE WEEK to 64 dogs and 31 cats. While most rescues and shelters are closing down or stopping intakes, we are on the streets everyday responding to humane calls and helping animals that have no one in their corner.

For those looking to help us during this straining time, donations and adopters are going to be necessary in the coming weeks. We expect the cost of their care to exceed $10,000 and some of them will need to spend several weeks with us before they’re ready for adoption. The cats all have upper respiratory infections, infected eyes and 3 of the dogs already are in need of emergency enucleations.

All of these animals are in need of medical care, their individual needs addressed, spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, preventative care and daily care until adopted. This intake will certainly stretch our resources to the max, but we are on board and are depending on YOU!

We are currently working on a cat hoarding case and need your help. There about a hundred of indoor and outdoor cats that we are trying to help.

Previously there has been no spay/neuters and no vet care provided to these cats. We were able to catch 7 cats and they are currently getting vet care.

A gentleman caretaker passed away in a tragic accident and now these cats need help.

This is what happens when two unfixed cats turns into over 100 CATS

When we visited, there were cats and kittens everywhere. Many of them have eye infections and skin infections from fleas.

How we can help:
We need another set of humane cat traps and some supplies to get us started.

Imagine being loved by your owner for your entire lifetime since she rescued you off the streets 9 years ago! Then, you lost the only human you knew when she passed away leaving you behind. No one in the family was able to take on Minnie and she was sad and alone. On top of that, no one knew that she had dry eye and this painful condition was left untreated for months since her owner passed away, which left her eyes in an unsavable state. Thankfully, we were able to say yes to helping Minnie, got her an emergency double enucleation, but now we are left with an unexpected vet bill and a senior dog that needs a special adopter. Minnie is so sweet and her tail wags like crazy when she smells a human.
