FOR FOSTER OR ADOPTION - ALBA 🤍

This petite little princess has made the long journey to Dubai a few times now for adoption days, hoping each time that this will be the day she meets her forever family. She hasn’t found them yet — but she’s still full of love, hope, and cuddles to give.

Alba was lucky enough to spend the night with an overnight foster during one of our double adoption weekends — and she absolutely thrived. She settled right in, showing just how clever, gentle, and adaptable she is. She enjoyed her walks, loved being part of a home, and soaked up every bit of affection.

She’s great with other dogs (a little shy and submissive at first, but soon playful and happy!) and even spent a night in an apartment with a cat, whom she politely ignored 🐾 So we know she’ll fit beautifully into most homes.

This sweet girl deserves her chance to feel the warmth of a family, the joy of playtime, and the comfort of her own sofa snuggles. Could you be the one to give Alba the forever she’s been waiting for? 💫

FOR FOSTER OR ADOPTION - MARSHMALLOW ❤️

What is going on right now? We literally cannot believe the messages coming in and the posts we’re forced to write because people are giving up on their pets. It’s madness. We’re losing faith in humanity, scared to trust anyone 😭

Marshie was adopted 5 months ago. He’s been a wonderful family dog every day since - fantastic with the children, a good boy at home, easy going, low maintenance… just really, really lovely.

And then the family got the news they would be relocating - we were so excited for Marshmallow. He deserved the best life and was literally about to have it all. All the preparations were being made, Marshie’s paperwork was being sorted and he was ready for his big adventure of a lifetime 🥹

Then, this week (less than a week before the was due to flu) we received a message that literally broke our hearts. After 5 months of being the loveliest boy, he had been reactive twice in the past week. As a result, they wouldn’t be relocating with him.. 🤯

Moving houses, let alone countries, is one of the most stressful experiences. We assume that there has been lots of stress, changes and triggers in the home as everyone deals with the imminent move and yes, our dogs feel stressed too. They’re not robots!

But it doesn’t matter, apparently. Every single day he was the most gentle boy with those children and the most loyal friend to the family counts for nothing now. Marshmallow is now in kennels, homeless, heartbroken and confused. And we are with him 😭

We will find this truly lovely and beautiful boy the people than deserve him! Marshmallow is now around 14 months old. He is fully toilet trained and walks perfectly on a leash. He sleeps soundly through the night in his crate, winding down for snuggles in the evening after his walk and can be left 4+ hours ❤️

He is great with other dogs - he gets excited to see them when out on his walks and always friendly. He goes to daycare weekly and loves to meet other dogs and play.

Marshie is even good with cats, ignoring them completely. But children are his favourite - he is so sweet and gentle with them, even the smallest of kids 🥹

He is nervous of visitors in the home and needs his confidence built up here.. but isn’t that a small thing to work on for this huge list of amazing traits and the best boy ever? 🥺

FOR FOSTER OR ADOPTION - COCO ❤️

This young, happy and pretty girl really is such a great family dog! She absolutely adores children and just thrives in a loving and busy home - she wants to be part of it all and is the most loyal little girl 🥹

Coco is now 7.5 months old and just the sweetest! She is doing so well both in and out of the house - she loves her walkies and is a very good girl on leash.

At home she just loves to cuddle and play with the little hoomans in the home. She welcomes everyone into the home with a wagging tail and is just a real people’s dog. So far she has been left alone for a couple of hours and done well and she’s sleeping through the night 🌟

She is still having some accidents at home so this is a bit of a work in progress. She was toilet trained in her first foster home so will get there soon with some time and consistency.

She’s a super little doggie that loves everyone and deserves to be SO loved herself.. will you help us to find her hoomans? ❤️

Sweet Pepper’s story breaks our hearts 💔

After finally getting a taste of what it feels like to be loved — cuddled up on a sofa and cared for — this gentle girl found herself back in a vet cage for weeks while she was unwell. She’s since recovered and is now in boarding, wondering what she did wrong.

Pepper is only a year old and has already been through so much. She’s a sensitive soul who really needs love, patience, and a calm home to help her feel safe again. Though she can be shy, she has the sweetest little moments — those bursts of happiness on walks and play time when you see her tail wags, and she looks up at you with trust and joy 🥹

She’s clever, gentle, and very adaptable — she just needs someone to believe in her again. Pepper will need a bit of help with toilet training and keeping her mind busy at home, but she’ll repay that care a hundred times over with her loyalty and love.

Please open your heart to this lovely girl — she’s been waiting far too long for her forever 💫

Join us this Saturday, October 25th from 6:30–7:30pm at Animals & Us, Al Hayl, Fujairah for our evening dog walk!

It’s the perfect chance to give our rescue dogs some love, help them build confidence, and enjoy a sunset stroll surrounded by wagging tails and happy faces. 🌅💛

URGENT FOSTER OR ADOPTION NEEDED – CLIFF 💙

Cliff is about to lose his foster home in two days, and we desperately need a new place for him to go. This sweet, smaller desert mix (around 15kgs) has come such a long way — he’s gentle, affectionate, and so deserving of a family to love him.

Cliff has been thriving in his foster home. He’s toilet and leash trained, sleeps soundly through the night, and adores his routine of walks, cuddles, and naps. He’s been to cafés, enjoys the dog park, and loves other dogs both on walks and at daycare.

He’s very affectionate — one of those dogs who always wants to be touching you or cuddled up close. His foster describes him as “extremely cuddly, playful, and gentle.”

Cliff can be a little shy at first and protective of his people, so introductions to new visitors should be taken slowly, but he’s been doing great meeting people outside and continues to build confidence every day.

He’s fine being left alone for a few hours with training and has stopped toileting indoors while his family is out.

✨ Cliff truly is one of those quietly wonderful dogs who melts into your life with ease — loyal, loving, and just waiting for his forever sofa. Please help us keep him out of boarding.

These amazing babies are those in most urgent need of homes right now. They’re either stuck in a vet cage, kennels or their foster period is about to run out.

We really have no where for them to go - we cannot afford to spend one more dirham that absolute essential right now at the vet or boarding 😭

PUPPY FOR FOSTER OR ADOPTION - SUSHI 🍣

Have you met this seriously pretty girl pup pup yet?! Because she is a total joy and bundle of love! ❤️

Sushi is 3 months old and just a little dot right now. She is learning that the world is lots of fun, everything is interesting and all people are a chance for play or cuddles. A happy and healthy little girl, just like all puppers should be 🫶

Sushi is currently growing up in the shelter because no one has offered her even a foster home. It’s crazy - this adorable little baby is so ready to go! She just needs someone to cuddle 🩷

Of course she’s only tiny so she has lots to learn - she just needs someone patient and willing to put some work in to help her grown into the most beautiful doggy. She needs someone around a lot and another dog in the home would be amazing for her - she will do ok alone too with someone home most the time and lots of socialisation 🥰

We desperately do not want little Sushi to have to go back to the shelter again this weekend. Can we please at least find her a four week foster home so she can start learning, thriving and meeting families? 🫶

FOR FOSTER OR ADOPTION - ANDY ❤️

Our hearts break for this lovely boy - he absolutely adored life in his previous foster home, living there happily for months. But since then, he’s been stuck in kennels with no one wanting to even visit him. We just don’t get it? He is one of the most handsome doggies around - fluffier than most, golden with the most soulful eyes 🥺

Andy is now almost 3 years old. Once settled at home, he’s pretty easy going - he’s toilet trained in an apartment, not a big barker, likes his walkies, sleeps through the night and fine left alone for a few hours ✅

He’s also good with other dogs. He used to love attending daycare where he would run and play and doesn’t cause any issues during his boarding stay .ae 🐶

He’s quite a confident boy and he will happily go for hikes, play dates to the beach or chill in a cafe. He loves a cuddle, loves to play and will do almost anything for a treato 😋

Andy is a ladies man. Outside the home he is good with men - in fact he laps up attention and cuddles at adoption days from our male volunteers and visitors. At home, he does take longer to warm up to men if there is a lady in the home (he falls hard 😅) so his ideal home would either be male only home, female only home or a couple where the guy isn’t going to be easily offended in those early days - he does settle quickly and once you’re in his heart, you’re in forever ❤️

Andy would love a home where he gets to chill as much as he gets to walk, play and socialise. He can live with other doggies and is good with children 🫶

This boy is so desperate to be back snuggling on the sofa. He’s out beautiful golden boy that is looking for his golden ticket to sofa snuggles - even if you can only foster to give him a break for a few weeks, please don’t forget about Andy. Let’s find him a home he deserves 🥰

🚨 URGENT SMALL DOG FOSTER NEEDED FOR NOODLE 🚨

This sweet little girl is losing her foster home this week, and we’re desperate to find her a new place to stay 💕

Meet Noodle — our petite one-year-old desert mix (around 12kg) with the softest white-and-grey coat and the gentlest little soul. Everyone who meets her falls in love — she’s calm, affectionate, and so loyal once she knows you. The kind of dog who quietly wins your heart and never leaves it 🥹✨

She’s been doing so well in her foster home — fully house-trained, great on the leash, fine being left for short periods, and amazing with dogs, cats, and kids. Noodle is a smaller dog (yes, really!) — so for everyone asking for “a small, trained, apartment-friendly dog,” this is your girl! 🏡💗

She can be a little timid with new people at first, but give her a moment and she’ll be your loyal little shadow. She’s truly such a sweetheart and so easy to love.

Please, if you can open your home to Noodle — even short-term — it would mean the world to her 💔

Animals and Us is a non-profit, registered, animal welfare charity operating in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), founded in 2006, with the goal of reducing pain and fear inflicted on animals by humans.

The charity rescues abandoned and stray animals, provides veterinarian assistance, helps to find homes for unwanted animals through adoption, and educates the public in the responsibilities of animal ownership.

The charity works closely with a number of other organisations to promote animal welfare and responsible pet ownership, across the UAE.
