It’s been a whirlwind of a weekend, I got the pleasure of taking Kerrit and competing him at Sandstone. I appreciate Cory & Caitlin allowing me to have the ride on him. He pulled two 6th places in horse pleasure out of a sizable group. I’m very proud of him! He continues to impress me with every outing ♥️
JoJo’s first round of the puddle jumper division this past Saturday. We used the show to get our feet wet in the show ring. It’s looking promising as we turn our eyes onto what she has said she would like to do, which is playing in hunterland. 🤣😅
JoJo acted like a seasoned pro for her second time off property and first time at a show. She really impressed me with how she took everything in and came and conquered. We popped over to TWA to do a couple of rounds in the puddle division. I appreciate everyone’s support and help yesterday. It meant a lot to me. We can’t wait to get back out there.
We are getting excited for our first ever show this coming weekend! Finally going places with the baby horse!! JoJo has been nothing short of fun to work with. What a find and totally worth it. I still count my lucky stars we were able to go check her out and bring her home ♥️
JoJo!!! She continues to surprise me and takes whatever I put in front of her in stride. Her canter is so balanced and I am so excited for her future. She has such a great brain! ♥️
This was JoJo’s first canter under saddle. I wasn’t too focused on the leads but I’m excited for her future!!
Maverick did mostly walking and a little trotti f around the outdoor. This little dude was such a trooper. I love his brain and his laziness is going to give me legs of steel 🤣
The Tooth Fairy will be visiting Maverick tonight! Our very brave boy had his two wolf teeth pulled, sheath cleaned and received vaccines today. All went well, and everyone survived!
Saturday was actually pretty productive in between all the lessons that went out! It felt nice to take advantage of the warmer weather and start getting some horses worked again. It really is so true in the sense that it’s easier to be productive when it’s not freezing temps out 😂
I’m out of town currently, but not too sad to be missing the next round of snow that just appeared for northern VA. But I’m posting what is by far my favorite sunset photo in a while. Will be glad to get back to my routine next week though!
Maverick had his first solo ride today. We’ve always had someone leading us but I wanted to challenge him a little bit more today. So proud of him ♥️ JoJo had her first ride in the snow on Monday. We took advantage of the beautiful weather once the snow stopped.
From Cory and myself, we would like to wish all of our followers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We hope the holidays find you and your families with lots of merriment, healthy days ahead, and lots of love. 🎄 ♥️ photo credit to Jess Nichols
A lesson two days in a row, he’s not quite sure what to think about that🤣. But, Kerrit continues to impress me. I asked Holly if she would give me a jumping lesson before her afternoon of teaching started today. I’m grateful for the tools at my fingertips to help bring the young horses along and improve my riding ability.
Maverick has officially had three rides under saddle and yesterday was the first time with a saddle! So proud of him! And again, we wouldn’t be as far as we are right now without Jamee ♥️
Kerrit joined the adult lesson last night, he was so good. I’m excited to continue working with him ♥️
Stella made me so proud yesterday! I normally just work on the flat (no ground poles or jumps), and I asked Jamee if she would help me. Stella stayed soft and supple through the exercise and even gave me a couple of flying lead changes! She’s the best! 🥰
I’ve been down and out with some health issues but all of our charges are doing well and are so loving. So in my absence of cute progress photos, I’ll share one of Maverick and Honor standing together 🥰 I can’t believe that she is almost as big as him and a year younger! ♥️
Kerrit, who will eventually be Caitlin’s new show horse had his second ride at the farm. While he has a long way to go, he’s smart and should be great with consistent work! I’m looking forward to seeing how they do together in the near future ♥️ I enjoy my Sunday’s because there’s a convenient break between lessons that allows me to work with the various creatures under my care. I appreciate all the help that Jamee and Holly give me regarding them! Later today, I’ll post a picture of Maverick and his first ride!! 🥰Forgive the spam, I’m finally getting things done again!
Honor and JoJo gave us quite the scare this morning. So grateful for the quick response from Dr. Freckleton! After an adventure through the barn and eating all the treats and a bit of grain, they had a minor colic episode, but both are alert and doing much better now! Here’s to a continued recovery ♥️ JoJo stuck by Honor’s side all night and all day.
Maverick continues to impress me with every session that I work with him. It doesn’t matter if I work him multiple days in a row or he gets a mini vacation. He is so willing and trusting and I love it! Can’t wait to see how he does tomorrow!
JoJo! What can I say about her? She is so smart with just the right amount of sass. She by far exceeded my expectations tonight! I’m so proud of her and can’t wait to see how far she goes ♥️
Honor was worked without mom today and she was so brave! She is not a fan of lime green though 🤣 We introduced her to many scary, new things and took everything in stride. I love how level headed she is. She has a bright future ahead of her ♥️
Morning workouts for these two! One caught on much faster than the other one 😆😉 but very proud of Mav and JoJo. ♥️ thank you Ryanne for letting us borrow your saddle to test the fit
When you are almost as tall as mom at just a few days over 4 months old 🥰
Finley was super for his first ride under saddle. He handled everything with such ease. It felt weird being so high up 😂 looking forward to our next ride together ♥️
It was a rope halter training kinda day. All three were super and didn’t put a foot wrong. Stella finally got out of the arena and on to some trails with me walking beside her. She encountered construction vehicles, cars and trucks, change of footing and never batted an eye. Finley got to work on “conquering” the Liverpool and finally calmly followed me over it. He tried so hard. JoJo was worked on some of the stuff that she did with Jamee yesterday and relaxed so much quicker. Of course, all three are so similar in color 😂😂
I thought this had posted yesterday.. 😅 but anyways! Sunday, I took JoJo out for a quick lunge to start getting her back in work, and she didn’t disappoint! At the end, I decided to see how she would react going over a Liverpool. My girl was so good! She barely batted an eye at it. The first few times she jumped it and by the end she was just walking over it. So proud 🥰
It’s been a whirlwind of a few days. I saw JoJo on Sunday evening and went to go look at her yesterday, we liked what we saw and paid for her! Cory got to meet her today when we picked her up. A huge thanks to Kelly for making this happen! We are very excited for the next chapter! ♥️
After a quiet period, and thanks to Holly for joining me on a last minute adventure to go look at a pony, we are excited to welcome JoJo to the family! She’s a 4 year old welsh cross pony! We can’t wait to pick her up tomorrow and see what she has to offer ♥️

Honor has been continually on the mend! She’s doing much better! She has been super tolerant of getting her medication twice a day and is leading around like a champ. Through the hot weather, she was introduced to being hosed off and sweat scraped. Honor can pick up her feet, she’s turning into to such a good girl with gorgeous movement ♥️ thanks to Kristine for starring in this morning’s video 😂
