Bianca is available for adoption. She is currently in temp boarding in NC,but will be moving to a foster in SC within the week.
The person boarding her right now says she is an awesome dog and very well trained. She wants to be with her humans. She is not fond of the dogs at her facility at the moment, but that could be due to her being in heat and cranky as well as the bouncing from home to shelter to boarding facility. She does not know what is going on in her world right now. If you are interested, please contact me for info to adopt.

I have been asked to post some updates on adoptions for the Rocky Mount and the Gaston dogs I have taken in recently, I have hundreds saved on my phone of the updated ones in the past year, but here are a few recent adoptions, I will post their shelter names instead of their current names. Thank you to all involved in helping these dogs. If you have any questions about a dog that you really liked in the shelter and wonder where he or she is, just message me and I will be glad to update with pics. Will Feral (Ferrell) is getting the works today at Animal Allies Clinic. Kudos to these awesome guys for putting up with my spicy chows on a regular basis. I have been in your spot and appreciate everything you do. He is going to a foster to adopt home up north. He is only a year old, so when he finds his person and learns to trust, he will settle down. This is a picture of him fussing at me. LOL

If you want to adopt a chow because they're cute and "cuddly" please do your research. Chows are not for everyone. You must be dedicated to appreciate this breed.

Because of the influx of chow chows and seniors in shelters right now, we will have to limit our intake to chows and chow mixes. Seniors of any breed will be considered if we have space. We need to be able to provide space for the breed we represent. CCR is the only Chow rescue in the Carolinas. We are seeing more chow chows being dumped than we have in our 21 years of rescue. We are usually able to pull any dog in need when space allows, but that is no longer the case. We are getting 6 Chows from an Atlanta Court case, 1 owner surrender chow in our town, and as soon as we are able, we are trying to help the 8 chows from a hoarding case in Alabama.

This sweet boy, first thought to be a senior because of the poor shape he was in, is in fact about 16 months old. Didn’t take long for someone to sn**ch up this cutie. Thank you Darryl and Norma Devine for fostering. Updates next week in his new home
