Meet Flynn! He's a fun young lab kind of guy with a joyful personality! Flynn is ALWAYS happy to see you and always ready for adventure! Flynn has a very crazy long tongue. This guy came in to the Dogs of Del Norte County pound as a stray and was never picked up. He is a happy-go-lucky guy, and he is ready for a forever home. He always has a smile on his face and a pep in his step. Flynn is a young adult around 2, currently weighs 45 lbs and is kid friendly. Older kids are best, his wiggles and playful personality might be too much for little ones. Meet Drako! He is 73 lbs & a 1 year old Mal mix. Drako will be attending our adoption event (today!) 12/8!Disclaimer-Malinois are highly intelligent, working/herding/ protection dogs. They need a job and mental stimulation. They are not a “starter” dog. Drako will need an exercise plan and secure fencing. He has made friends with several of the dogs at the Dogs of Del Norte County pound. He enjoys a good game of fetch and will drop the ball at your feet. Drako is non-reactive to vehicles…even ones with barky dogs in them. He is working on his leash manners. He knows sit and his favorite toy is a green squeaky pig. Olive loves Meet/Greet Events & meeting all the people & dogs! She will be at our event on 12/8 in Vancouver. Come meet her! She always makes new friends by army crawling her way over to them.🤣Olive is a sleek black with boundless energy. She weighs 77 lbs. & is about 1.5 years old. Olive is a spirited gal who would love to meet you and all your doggie friends. She was a participant in the Prison Paws Partnership program and she knows Look, Sit, Down, Leave it, Up, Stand, Heel up, Wait, Stay, Shake, and Come. Olive is looking for an active family and maybe an additional large furry friend to romp with! She needs a buddy that can keep up with her & play hard.Olive loves to play ball and wrestle her pup friends. She worked on her leash manners and basic training during her time at Pelican Bay - this is something her forever family would need to continue working on. She was cat tested and did well, we think she could live in harmony with a dog savvy cat and slow introductions.Olive passed her kid test with flying colors but she will need to still have boundaries in place since she is a puppy who jumps. Meet Leia…this girl is looking for an emotional support person. We have no idea what this girl's past was like, but she definitely has a healing journey ahead of her. Leia is a 50 lb. Female Dalmatian/Pointer Mix that has passed her cat test. She also knows sit, recall and like to chase balls! Leia does seem to have leash manners. She came in as a stray with another dog, and we think she can have a dog companion in her forever home with good introductions. Leia has been pretty scared at the pound. She is slow to trust new people but once she does she is a Velcro dog. She will need a patient home without a lot of hustle & bustle. Leia is adoptable through Dogs of Del Norte County and has a ride from Crescent City, CA to Vancouver, WA!

Here is Remi’s first day of hydrotherapy! We are so proud of how far she’s come. She’s going to be doing water, laser, and physical therapy to help her heal which is going to cost about $80/week. If you’d like to donate, even $5 will help us pay her bills!
