A truly heartbreaking afternoon for us, our beautiful big Thuringia mare, Orinoko aka Dina has gone over rainbow bridge.

It’s been a true pleasure owning such a wonderful broodmare, we only managed to get 1 foal from her but that didn’t matter, she was a joy to have around and such a character if she didn’t want to be caught! I have so many memories from over the years!

My twins were only about 3 when she joined our family, she was so gentle when they were around despite her sheer size, it’ll be 13 years that we’ve owned her, below is when she’d just arrived fresh from an eventing yard up in the NE.

RIP my big beautiful D xx

Sometimes life takes unexpected turns.
Sadly Crazelbrook Vinettas new owner’s personal circumstances have changed and I’m delighted to be able to say I’ve bought her back 🎉

Any pony or horse bred by me or who has been owned by me…. I will ALWAYS welcome them back with open arms x

Today was a hard one….. my very first homebred, Diva De Crazelbrook has left to go to her new home.

Again, loaded like an old pro despite being her 1st time on a horsebox 💕

I hope her owner has many happy times with her, which I’m sure she will.

This afternoon Crazelbrook Vinetta went off to her new home. Vinetta was a little stubborn to load but seemed content once she realised there was hay inside.

This morning saw Crazelbrook Erica go off to her new family, another who loaded first try making me so proud 💕

Crazelbrook Vinney has just gone off to his new family.
Again heartbreaking for me as his now old owner/breeder but so so proud as he loaded first attempt with his new owner who is only a youngster herself 💕

You guys are going to have so much fun together 🐎

A very sad afternoon indeed at Crazelbrook Stud but also a very proud day!

Crazelbrook Kelago has gone to her new home 💔😭

To say she’s 11 and never left the yard…. She loaded first attempt with a bucket of nuts!
Even though our horses are older and unbacked, they’ve been brought up right and I’m so proud of her for being a big brave girl, especially as she’d just been brought in and her friends were calling for her.

Massive Congratulations to her new owner, I’m sure she’ll give you lots of happy memories.

So at the moment the yards a massive mess as we get things sorted to clear everything by the end of the month. This morning I decided to take Kelago out the doorway where we’ve all sorts. This was her reaction to suddenly a usually empty walkway being full…..

I’ve brought all mine up to literally not be fazed by things like this

Crazelbrook Vinney
Date of birth 31 July 2013
Section d x tb
Registered Part Bred Welsh with WPCS
Approx 14.2/14.3hh
Sadly former injury on hind leg which doesn’t seem to affect him but obviously means he’d not be suitable for showing (full details can be provided to interested parties). Would be a fantastic fun small horse/hacker, likes jumping when out over a loose jumping lane.
Great to catch, mixes well with mares and geldings of all ages and heights.
Can live out or be stabled with no issues.
Never sick or sorry. Dam can be seen, Vinney has some great breeding behind him. would suit a home who wants a project to have as a lifelong friend to have random fun with rather than showing.

I’ll keep adding photos/videos to this post

Everyone falls in love with her, stunning looks and movement. Needs 1-1 as can be timid despite handling since birth! Once she trusts you she’s wonderful and you’ll have a cracking pony! Loves to jump when loose schooled over them to the extent we couldn’t stop her going around as she enjoyed it so much. Will come up to you in the field and stable for a fuss, easier to catch in a smaller paddock as opposed to larger field. Can live out or be stabled with no bother. Great with others in the field, never mareish. Has previously been lunged/started groundwork. Dam can be seen.

This is why it is so important not to ride your horse to young. The 'cracks' you see above and below the joints of the bone are bones that have not 'sealed' yet. This sealing starts between 3 to 5 years old....Everyone should be aware of over training /over jumping / over schooling the adolescent horse under 5 years of age - The surface area of a hoof absorbs the equivalent of 1000lb per square inch of concussive pressure every time your horse lands - This combined with over working an unfit unmuscled horse or at a young age leads to the numerous cases of joint degeneration, navicular pedalastitis, fused and kissing spines, hock damage that are so prevalent at the moment - So before you all rush off to JUMP JUMP JUMP JUMP HIGHER AND HIGHER AND HIGHER on your incredibly young green and unmuscled horse consider this.............If you care as much about or horse as you claim if you truly love your horse and want it to remain fit and healthy and in your care for life then formulate an incremental gadget free training plan work your horse on a good surface feed him well and care for his joints - the competitions can wait another year - abuse your horse too early and he will not see the year out without nerve blocks and infiltrations - Your horse deserves the best care and you deserve the best horse so train him .
