PUMPKIN is searching for her forever family! In her foster home, she has quickly blossomed from a timid and shy little 8-year-old girl into a vivacious 26-pound beagle. Pumpkin is a medium energy dog who is still unsure what to do with toys, but she enjoys chew bones and, of course, she really enjoys treats. She rides well in the car and is cat-friendly. Pumpkin has not been crated while left home alone, as she has officially claimed a dog bed for her sleeping and sanctuary and is well behaved even when her foster parents are gone, including no accidents. She is leashed to go outside and then released into the fenced yard to do her business. She has visited some stores with her foster mom and has done well. Pumpkin is working on learning some commands, but they are still a work in progress. Can you say stubborn beagle? Pumpkin is a sweet girl and her only dream is to find a family of her own. PUPPY ALERT: LUNA is looking for her forever home! Luna is a high-energy, playful 10-month-old beagle-mix girl weighing 30 pounds. She is a happy, fun, and affectionate young dog who wants to be everybody's friend! She loves people and enjoys being the center of attention. Luna is good with other dogs and enjoys running and playing with her canine sister, Selene (who is also available for adoption!). Luna is athletic, has long legs, runs fast, and can easily jump a 3-foot fence or gate. She loves being with her people and gets very excited and vocal when she sees them. Duke Too is desperate for a foster home. This handsome male beagle weighs approximately 35 pounds and is about 18 months old. He is friendly and playful, a little on the shy side, and has no obvious medical concerns. He's been living his life outdoors and is looking for a foster who will teach him how to be a beloved family pet before he finds his forever home.

Midwest BREW does not operate a kennel or shelter, so foster homes are critically important to the work we do. Unfortunately, we NEVER have enough foster homes. Medical Update on Daniel: As anyone who has gone through the aging process with their dog knows, there are often difficult decisions that must be made. After extensive discussions with the veterinary surgeon and careful deliberation of the risks and benefits, we’ve decided not to proceed with surgery due to Daniel’s age, cognitive condition (dementia), and the associated surgical risks.

Decisions like this are never easy, but we believe it is the right choice for Daniel. Our focus is on keeping him comfortable and giving him all the love he deserves.
