George is ready to be adopted! This young boy is the "bestest boy" and will do anything for a treat. When he's excited about food, he jumps up and down, and twists. George loves playing with other dogs and cuddling with his humans. He's crate trained and house training is going really well, his foster family reports. AVALON is ready to be adopted! Avalon is a beagle/boxer/terrier mix. She is just over 1-year-old and full of energy! She’d make a great companion for an avid walker, hiker or runner, or an active family with older children. Playtime with other dogs is a serious business for Avalon. She is a smart girl and learning obedience basics such as “sit,” “wait,” and “come,” and she has learned to walk nicely on a leash. Avalon rides well in the car and goes to doggy daycare two or three days a week, where she really seems to enjoy hanging out and playing with her friends there. Midwest BREW operates throughout 6 Midwest states, which means volunteer transport drivers are critical to the work we do. Though volunteers are needed for all routes, we especially have a hard time filling transport legs between Lafayette and Merriville, IN, and between Elyria, OH, and Merrillville, IN. Sweet and snuggly VELMA is dreaming of her forever home! This 21-pound, 9-year-old senior girl is a curious, timid little love bug. She enjoys walks and is working on leash manners. She uses a doggy-door and likes to run around the yard. Her ideal home would be a quiet, adult-only family with a fenced yard, minimal alone time, and another dog to keep her company and help her gain confidence.
