Minnie Pearl is having a field trip day. If yall will allow me to take you back a year or two, you’ll realize how far Minnie and I have come. She’s the poodle I rescued from Michigan. When we arrived home from the trip she knocked me down and fled the car. She was found two weeks later in Benton and I got her back. Today she doesn’t even require a leash to be in public. It’s amazing what consistent love will do. We’re out and about running errands in Murray. If you’re running errands too, come meet her. She’s the sweetest girl that ever lived.

My sweet Murray William got a much needed spa day this weekend. He was about to start matting on his legs so I cut his body at 5/8” and left his head the length it was. I blended in his face and ears with scissors.

We had another seizure today. This one was several months earlier than usual and lasted around 15 minutes. He’s comfortably resting now but I absolutely hate these. Here’s hoping we are done for a while.

My newest obsession is much smaller than I ever expected. My nephews got a new little cavapoo puppy and her name is Purdy. She is the most precious thing. I may have hogged her all day Christmas Eve.

This fool of a puppy sat on Murray’s head to get to me. Murray didn’t care a bit and refused to give up his spot on my hip. This is hilarious to me because Murray often uses this same tactic to get other dogs off of me in order to claim this same spot next to me.

I can’t quit adding dogs. I know ya’ll think my house is crazy but it’s mostly like this. They sleep 20 hours a day. I say get another dog. It’ll be fine.

I’ve never seen a dog so high. My vets office almost always lets dogs go home same day of surgery. It has to be a really big surgery for them to stay overnight. Maverick is still in the corner drooling and it’s 2am! They put him to sleep to clean out his ears really well and doc ended up cutting on one of his ears again to open it up better. We’re taking maybe 5 stitches on the outside of his ear, not down in it. He was less groggy after his suture removal. I’m not sure what cocktail they used this time but he’s next level high. I can’t stop laughing.

Here’s hoping this is Mavericks last ear checkup. We’re also hoping to get the ok to groom him! It’s been 6 weeks and I keep them on a 4 week schedule. He’s getting stinky.

My sweet Minnie Pearl. She’s a super curly girl, so she didn’t look this out of control until I got her under the dryer. Wowza! That hair had to go! I ended up taking her head the same length as her body this time bc it was honestly on my nerves. She’s 3/4” and will get a few grooming appointments out of that length.

Sometimes you both need a break from the blow dry session. So you sit beside one another and have a drink of water. 🐶

Poor Maverick just had a very expensive double ear resection surgery. So I guess it’s ok that he’s a little extra lazy for a few more days. #cosseypoodles #maverickgunner

Marley LOVES short hair. Always has, always will. I have 2 dogs that tend to run hot. You will find them constantly panting when their hair gets over an inch long. So, we shave them down when the temperatures support it. She was so happy after her hair was gone, she just wagged her tail non stop. When you see a shaved doggo, it isn’t always because they were matted. #marleysue #cosseydoodles #cosseydoodlesgrooming #babymomma
