🌞🐾 It's officially summer on the Cape! With many furry friends at the park, we want to ensure everyone's safety so that all pups and their families have a fantastic time! 🐶✨

Here are four key safety standards for dogs:
1️⃣ Dogs must be licensed - ID & current rabies tag must be displayed on collar or harness at all times in the dog park.
2️⃣ Dogs must be leashed in the parking area, then unleashed in the lobby before entering Large or Small Dog Areas.
3️⃣ Dogs must be within the handler's view & under voice control at all times.
4️⃣ Dogs must be healthy and free of contagious diseases/parasites.

🚨 Attention Pet Lovers! 🚨

A friendly reminder from the Brewster Board of Health: All dogs, horses, and pets are prohibited from public ponds, landings, beaches, and tidal flats, including public parking areas, from May 15 through September 15. 🐶🐴🐾

But don't worry, we've got the perfect place for your furry friends to play! The Brewster Dog Park is open 7 days a week from dawn to dusk. 🐕🌳 Please note, the park is closed for maintenance on the last Thursday of every month (unless there's an observed holiday).

Thank you for your cooperation, and we can't wait to see you and your pups having fun! 🐾❤️

☀️🐾 Sunny day at the BDP! Check out our adorable pups having a blast in the small dog park! 🌳 What makes BDP special? We have dedicated spaces for both small and large dogs! 🐶💕 Our small dog area is perfect for pups under 30 lbs, and our large dog area welcomes those 30 lbs and over. Both parks are cleaned daily by our amazing volunteers to ensure the best experience for all. Come join the fun! 🐕

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone at Brewster Dog Park, please keep in mind the following restrictions:

🚫 Children under 6 years
🚫 Dogs under 4 months
🚫 Animals other than dogs
🚫 Retractable leashes
🚫 Prong, pinch, spiked, or choke collars
🚫 Dogs in heat
🚫 Smoking or using e-cigarettes
🚫 Dog grooming
🚫 Digging holes (please fill them in)
🚫 More than 3 dogs per handler
🚫 Food, glass/breakable containers, alcohol, children's toys
🚫 Bicycles, scooters, strollers, skateboards, or similar

Tree maintenance is happening today at the BDP thanks to our friends at the Department of Public Works! The entire park will be temporarily closed to ensure everyone’s safety from 11am to 3pm. 🐾 Did you know the Brewster Dog Park has safety rules to keep everyone happy and safe? 🐾

🌟 Remember, we all play a role in maintaining our park! 🌟

Owners/handlers must:
✔️ Clean up after dogs immediately
✔️ Stay inside the enclosure with their dog(s)
✔️ Keep a leash for each dog
✔️ Keep gates closed and avoid congregating near them
✔️ Remove dogs at first sign of aggressive behavior, excessive barking, or mounting

The Animal Rescue League is hosting its first ever Provincetown Pet Parade and Party TODAY on Saturday, June 7th and we hope that you can join to celebrate the special bond between pets and their families!! 🐶🐈🐰

Rain or shine, well-behaved pets and their parents of all ages and species are invited to meet at The Governor Bradford at 12:00pm where they will enjoy pet inspired cocktails until 12:45pm when the party will move onto Commercial Street.

The Pet Parade Afterparty will take place from 1:00-4:00pm. There will be music, drinks, animals and fun, what more do you need to start summer??

This month, we are remembering our beloved Boris (Mr. B) who passed on earlier this year. Mr. B was taken care of by Rike and Matthew Pruesse, who loved him deeply and frequented the BDP every day.

Boris was a Whippet and his birthday was September 13, 2010. He lived in South Dennis, and his favorite thing to do at the BDP was walking glued to Rike and watching his “sister” bestie Elsa playing. His best friends at the park were Georgie, Kenzo, Bruna, Marlow, and Finn the Whippet.

We are so grateful to Rike and Matt for bringing Mr. B into the BDP community. He is certainly missed, but we are happy to have shared all of the time with him that we did. Thank you to Rike and Matt for your continued support of the BDP!
