Scarlett was initially held back by us as one of our top females, as we were having a really hard time deciding between her & her sister Bambi. Since Bambi better fits our future breeding goals, Scarlett is now 6 months old and ready to go to her forever home!

She is sweet, smart, outgoing, loves people, and like her mother, has a tail that never stops! Scarlett should have absolutely no problem finishing her Championship (she was one of our keepers after all!) and we would love to see her go to a show home... but a loving forever home is (& always will be) out top priority for her.

Sire was a Breeder/Owner Handled Best in Show winning American/International Champion; Dam is a Multiple Puppy Group winner and Canadian Champion.

Both parents are fully health tested for their generation, and come from lines well known for their health, longevity, and amazing temperaments (there have been therapy dogs on both sides of the pedigree).

Behind on photos again!! Hard to believe, but babies are 8 weeks old tomorrow!! The 2 fawn boys are almost 27 pounds, the two big apricot girls are 22 & 24, and the other 3 are 15, 17 & 20 pounds respectively!

Hard to believe that babies have just started into Week 4! Eyes and ears are open, and they get around so much better now!!

On a sad note, our sick puppy lost his battle with aspiration pneumonia tonight, despite multiple antibiotics, nebulizers, humidified air, and many other medications over the past week. God Speed Across the Bridge little man... I know the powers that be have something important planned for you.

Well, seeing as we're about 6 weeks away from Alli going into season, it seems prudent to confirm that we WILL be breeding her this cycle!
Our stud dog of choice is none other than the incomparable Am/Int Ch Audley Farms Family Jules (sire to our two boys Wallace & Gromit). This will be a line breeding back on Jules, as he appears twice on the maternal side of Alli's pedigree, but nowhere else.

POTENTIAL OWNER: How much are your puppies?
BREEDER: $3500 dollars.
POTENTIAL OWNER: What?? That's way too expensive!!
BREEDER: What do you think would be a good price?
POTENTIAL OWNER: No more than $1500. You reputable breeders are so over priced.
BREEDER: I am sorry you see it this way, why don't you try it yourself?
POTENTIAL OWNER: But I've never done it!

BREEDER: For FREE I can teach you how to do it, and in addition you will have the knowledge to do it again.
POTENTIAL OWNER: Perfect, thank you!
BREEDER: To start you will need a Female (average cost $4000 and up) and a Male (average cost $4000 and up) or Semen (average $4000 and up). You will need to do OFA Genetic & Health Testing on them, which averages about $1500+ per dog. Let's not forget Progesterone Testing at $100+ each (4-5 needed), C-Section (starting at $1300 if planned), and $3300+ at the emergency room. Inseminations start at $800, Ultrasounds at $150, X-rays $130, Semen Collections $500+, Storage of semen $120/year, Semen Analysis $150, Semen shipping and so on ($4500+). 10+ Hours of travelling to/from a reputable Repro vet $400 per visit, dog sitter while you’re gone $50-75 a day, and providing Daily Care, Feeding of high quality food & supplements, & Grooming for 2 years of the potential Stud/Dam, (minimum $350 per month).
Oh, don’t forget Monthly Prevention, Annual Vet Visits and any other additional Vet Visits.
On top of this if you Show (& you should!) - Entries, Equipment, Travel, Hotels, Food, Handling Fees, Certificates, etc. will easily run $4-6000/year
POTENTIAL OWNER: But I don't have that much money...

BREEDER: For $10,000 you can raise a litter and then keep one of the puppies. Obviously, you will pay the cost of whelping & care.
POTENTIAL OWNER: I can do that.
BREEDER: OK so I have a female due to whelp in 2 weeks. You will need to be available 24/7 around the clock for at least 4 weeks to help with delivery, care (a million loads of laundry) plus weeks afterwards to monitor mum and puppies. You will need to hire a helper so you can catch 4 hours of sleep a night & a dog walker to exercise your adult dogs.
POTENTIAL OWNER: Five+ weeks?? That's way too much time for me! I have to work.
BREEDER: Plus, you will need to be available for puppy families to call you 24/7 with a worry or concern no matter the age. You MUST also be ready to take back the puppy/dog at any age if the family has a unforeseen emergency.
BREEDER: You will also need the reproductive vet to do progesterone testing($100+/test ) & C-section($1300-$3300) and initial vet care on pups until old enough to be placed ($800+).
You need to have on hand a scale, thermometer, latex gloves, puppy pads, incubator, heating lamp, whelping box, puppy pen, blankets, toys, bowls, cleaning supplies, appropriate food with supplements for mothers, formula, medications & hand/tube feeding supplies in case of emergency....
POTENTIAL OWNER: But I don't have all these things!
BREEDER: For $5000+ you can buy them.

POTENTIAL OWNER: Ummm .... You know, I think it might be better if I just buy a Puppy.
BREEDER: Wise decision.

For us, there are No Vacations or Holidays without extensive pre-planning (assuming we can find someone we inherently trust to watch our dogs). While you go to visit with family & friends, we are home at our dogs' side caring for them. It is a no breaks commitment that we embrace wholeheartedly, for the good of our dogs, our puppies, and the families we are lucky enough these precious souls with.

THIS IS THE REALITY
When you choose a Reputable Person/Breeder, you aren’t only purchasing the Puppy but also: Knowledge, Support , Experience, Love, Time, Sacrifices, etc...
**Plus the cost of Lifetime Support to the Puppy Owners…
These numbers are just the tip of the iceberg (best case scenario!!!) as a Reputable Breeder who takes on this journey full time (& only has puppies occasionally)!

9 year old Rouge (our osteosarcoma girl) & her son Gromit out enjoying the warm weather.
We only let Rouge out with one other dog at a time, to avoid her getting bumped around and injuring the bad knee.

OFA has given Alli her CHIC # just in time for our lovely young lady to come into season. Alli is our 𝟓𝒕𝒉 𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 of CHIC dogs!

Alli will be bred shortly to a stellar brindle boy... the announcement will be put out when the pregnancy is confirmed.
