The vast majority of dogs will keep their muzzles on, however, as we all know...........there's always one!!
For some dogs, especially those that go off into the undergrowth the muzzle stop or keeper strap can prevent them from losing the muzzle.
The muzzle stop is a simple and effective double loop, and works as the dogs normal collar is fed through one loop and the muzzle strap through the other.

The keeper strap is a thin collar, and should be fastened high on the dogs neck at the thinnest point (just below their ears). The muzzle strap feeds through the loop on the keeper strap which helps to prevent the dog taking the muzzle off.

Dog leads are a staple for every dog owner, and we have them available in many different colours and lengths, from a standard lead to a range of long lines we also offer different fasteners.
The traditional trigger hook suits most people, it's down side being that it can be heavy, because of this we also offer lightweight carabiners which are designed for climbing so they are ultra safe and strong.
The carabiners are offered in two types, one is a simple carabiner that opens by squeezing, the second is a safety carabiner where the opening needs to be twisted and then squeezed together.

We love colour! And these bobby dazzlers that were sent out this week do not disappoint!
They are the 103 muzzles complete with coloured nosebands and budget straps.
The budget range of straps are a colour match to the muzzles and add a pop of colour!

Next up is the 110 muzzles, these are available in 6 sizes which will fit Whippets, Poodles, Greyhounds, Lurchers, Collies, Spaniels, Beagles, Staffies, Salukis, Azawakhs, and most other Sighthounds.

They are really lightweight, measuring 30-50g, and if fitted correctly allow the dog to pant fully which is essential for their comfort and safety. The design means it's easy for the dogs to take treats and drink whilst wearing the muzzle.
They can have a noseband added which adds an extra layer of comfort, not that I think they particularly need it, and colour.

I've pulled a selection of colours to show, but if you have any more photos of the 110s we'd love to see them!

I thought it was about time I introduced you to some of our muzzles! First up is the 103, one of the babies in the family this muzzle has been around for years and will typically fit Whippets and some terriers.

Available in an astonishing 15 colours, you can add a noseband to add that extra layer of comfort not to mention another splash of colour!

We have always supported rescues but this is something a little different!
A very close friend of ours has recently taken 3 dogs in from less than ideal circumstances and it has quickly became apparent that one of them is heavily pregnant! Yorkshire Rose Dog Rescue have stepped in and offered full rescue back up for the dogs and pups, and we have decided that for every piece of vet bedding sold we will donate a piece for Sue to use for the Mum and pups.

It is a little worrying as Mum hasn't had the best care up to now, and we'll keep you updated when the pups arrive.
When the time comes they'll be rehomed through YRDR, but for now lets hope for an easy birth where all the Pups and Mum are healthy, and if you would like to help then please share this link, and join the auction!

Teal is one of my favourite colours, and I love what the customer chose to go with this one!
The straps come a a wide range of colours and will fit all the muzzles, with the exception of the 117 muzzles where only the waterproof straps will be long enough.

Something a little different for a Bank Holiday weekend The Muzzle Shop went to the football and thanks to a generous friend we appeared on the big screen.
It was my first ever football match, and it was done in style, so here we are, Fiona (that's me!) and Rob living it up in a private suite at the football.

And yes Huddersfield won 1-0. 🥰

Yorkshire Rose Dog Rescue is holding their annual show on the 8th September.

We are not attending with The Muzzle Shop, but the show is well worth a visit if you are in the area and helps to raise much needed funds for a local dog rescue which is run entirely by volunteers. 🥰
