Ferrets playing is just one of my all time favorite things to watch!

When the owners say their dog hasn't connected with any other pet sitters, hides, won't go out potty, won't eat, and barks at them. But you immediately connect and are best buds after the first visit. ❤️ THIS is another reason why I love my job so so much. I love your furbabies all sooooo much, even the more "challenging" ones!

Hello! My name is Sara Peterson, owner of Sara’s Happy Paws Pet Sitting in Southern Utah.

Here at Sara’s Happy Paws Pet Sitting we are committed to the highest standards of pet care. We will care for your pets as if they were our very own and make sure they receive all the love, care, and special attention they need while you are away. We believe that in-home care is best for your pet because they are able to stay in their own environment, maintain their normal routine, and feel safe and secure, despite your absence.

About Sara: From the day I was born I’ve ALWAYS had dogs and cats. Most of my childhood consisted of playing with my dogs in the backyard, putting on “dog shows” for my family, and caring for the stray cats who sometimes came to visit. I even grew up pet sitting for a lot of my neighbor’s animals, I feel like I’ve been pet sitting for as long as I can remember. My family and I have been working with Non-profit rescue organizations for years. We’ve fostered for H.A.R.T, Because Animals Matter, One More Chance Cats, and RSQ Dogs+ where I currently volunteer. I often foster animals that no one else will due to health problems. So I’ve become very educated in specialized animal care for all kinds of circumstances. I am a huge advocate for animal adoption. I absolutely love spending my free time volunteering at RSQ Dogs+, where I’m actually a lead cat volunteer. I am currently working part time as a Pet Nutritionist over at Lovin’ Arms Pet Center. At Lovin’ Arms I am continually learning more and more about pet nutrition and holistic treatments every single day. I am always striving to educate myself on the latest in animal care and am certified as a Professional Pet Sitter. I have taken many courses in pet care, pet nutrition, pet psychology, pet grooming, and a few other animal-related safety courses. If you can’t tell by now, animals truly are my passion and I am so grateful that I have had the opportunity to build this business.

About Grayson: The first dog I ever had was a Blue Heeler named Shelby and I was too little to remember her clearly before she passed away, but I do remember loving her so much. Since then, my family and I haven't lived in a home that allows pets. Working with Sara has provided me with a great opportunity to have all kinds of doggy friends! I love meeting new dogs and being able to love them as if they were my own! I have really enjoyed my time as a Pet Sitter for the past 2 years. I am certified in Pet First Aid and CPR, and I have references available.

About Nora: Hello! I’m Nora Price. I’ve lived in St. George for most of my life. I absolutely love school and learning, math and science are some of my favorite subjects. I have always had a genuine love for animals! All of my childhood I constantly begged my mom for a dog. When she finally got tired of my begging and "deal making", we ended up getting my sweet dog T-Bird the Schnauzer. I love meeting and taking care of all animals, I know how much people’s pets mean to them, which is why I love to work for Saras Happy Paws Pet Sitting. I always treat our clients' pets as if they are my own! I am certified in Pet First Aid/CPR and have a reference list available.

About Gaby: I was born and raised in Anchorage Alaska. Our only official pet during our time there was a bearded dragon named Dr. Nefario. Then we had our less official pets that frequented our yard every so often (Moose, bears, etc.). I volunteered for a few summers for an Equine therapy (EATA) and had a blast learning to care for horses and helping them feel comfortable with the riders. In high school, we moved to St George. Since we arrived here we have gotten a lionhead/angora bunny, two little cats, 1 dog, and 4 goats. It has been an incredible whirlwind of joy hanging out with all of them and it has been even cooler having the chance to make even more doggy friends working for Sara’s Happy Paws Pet Sitting. I am certified in Pet First Aid and CPR, and I have a reference list.
