🚨FOSTERS NEEDED ASAP🚨

We meant it when we said we cannot pull any more dogs from the shelter without foster commitments 😖

Right now, these two sweet dogs have confirmed spots waiting for them in Pennsylvania, but they can’t go unless we secure a 2-week foster home here first.

Both of these kiddos are:
• Dog friendly
• People friendly
• Moderate energy (they love to play, but they’re just as happy to curl up on the couch and snuggle)
• Easy keepers who simply need a safe place to land before their transport

We’re so close to giving them their second chance.

$724 — that’s the cost of the lifesaving treatment that pulled Clove through her battle with parvo. Thanks to an attentive foster mom, it was caught early and she’s now on the mend.

Now we need to pay the bill.

We are begging at this point.

Our local shelter is full.

Our transport partners want to help.

But we have several dogs in boarding already that we HAVE TO get out before we can save more.

Aside from costs and it not being an ideal long term placement for dogs like a home would be, it’s almost Thanksgiving which means boarding facilities will be filled with clients’ dogs😭

Please… We are begging for help. We want to save lives. And we need fosters to do it.

Started the day off with a little lifesaving!

🐾Tomlin was taken in as a stray at our local stray facility 165 days ago. Today he is finally busting out and taking his next steps towards his happily ever after!

🐾Tubo only had a 10 day stay at the shelter, but he is equally as grateful to be out & just as excited to take steps towards a forever home!

Thank you to the fosters who have stepped up, those who have donated to cover their care, Renee for being the best doggy uber, and to our rescue partners that have been busting ass right along side us to save lives!

✨FREEDOM WALKS✨

Yesterday we shared about our 3 newest additions in effort to help Paws Humane Society open up some much needed kennel space, and today we officially busted them out of the shelter 🐶

The not so great part? They’re all going boarding. This is definitely not ideal…for our bank account or for the dogs! While we absolutely love and appreciate 2nd Home Pet Resort and the care they provide our pups, nothing compares to them being in a home environment.

🚨 URGENT FOSTER PLEA 🚨

Last night, the Animal Services Division at Paws Humane Society was hit with an emergency intake of 7 large dogs. As many in our community know, our local shelter never has seven open kennels just sitting empty. This kind of intake puts an enormous strain on space, staff, and resources.

Our transport partners are ready to step in and help, but we can’t move dogs safely until we have foster homes to get them out of the shelter and give them a place to decompress.

👉 We are in immediate need of local foster homes for medium to large dogs that can commit to having a house guest for 3-4 weeks, until their transport dates.

If you’ve ever considered fostering, now is the time. Please message us ASAP if you can help, or even if you just have questions. Sharing this post helps more than you know! Our partners are ready to save more, but we have to get these into foster homes before we can commit to more.

These are the kiddos we currently have transport commitments for that urgently need fosters:

🐾Acorn: 1 y, male, 30 lbs, very social with people & loves to play with other dogs

🐾Jigsaw: 6 m, male, super sweet & friendly with everyone - humans and dogs

🐾Bravery: 1 y, female, 30 lbs, described as a ray of sunshine by staff, loves tummy rubs, working on basic commands with treats for motivation, does well with other dogs

We love sharing the “Welcome to Animal SOS” posts with you guys — and we need your help to make this one happen!

Goku is a 23 lbs, 1 year old pup that’s as cute as can be! He is scheduled to go on transport in 4 weeks, but he really needs a foster home to hang out in until then. He is dog friendly, snuggly, and really stinkin’ cute.

The sweet family who found him as a stray kept him for a several nights initially and here’s what they said about him: “Goku is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met. He is loving, cuddly, and always happy to see you! He loves to lay in your lap while you do anything because he just wants to be with you. He LOVES blueberries and bath time! We absolutely loved him!”

Let’s busy Goku out of the shelter today and get him one step closer to his forever family!

Did someone say PUPPIES!? 😻

Youngsters like these are some of the most at-risk of contracting illnesses in shelter settings due to their tiny immune systems. Because of our rescue partner in IL & local foster Renee, all 7 of these pups are now out of the shelter and snoozing in a home. Thank goodness for that!

After 147 days at our local animal services facility…. Puck is finally out of the shelter ❤️

Thank you to our amazing rescue partner for seeing his worth from hundreds of miles away, and to our amazing foster Grace for opening her home to him until transport.
