“Yesterday I adopted the oldest, sickest and most injured dog from a shelter.
I will never forget his eyes, when I entered the cages he didn't even bother to look at me, like he knew
that I wouldn't even see him, curled up in a corner, accepted his fate.
The volunteer told me several times... But are you sure about that? Are you sure about this?
Yes!!!
I want this dog, he opened the cage, I ran to him, suddenly he looked
me as if I saw an angel...
I took him in my arms and told him... Now you will be happy to
New. He fell asleep in my arms...
Probably the first peaceful sleep he'd had in a long time.
Give it a life. Kiss an old man.

This is one of the most difficult posts I have ever written. It IS NOT a tissue alert.
A few weeks ago, on a hot 90+ degree day, someone noticed a box on the grass. For some reason they looked in the box.

Inside the box was a flea covered, severly matted, ematiated, dehydrated paralyzed, senior dog.

Thanks to good people who took action, this dog now named Dottie, survived. Her fleas were killed, her mats were cut off. She was given wonderful food, water and love.

One of her back legs needed to be amputated. Deepest gratitude to the great team at York County SPCA for saving her and taking great care of her. A very special thanks to Sara Wozniak for fostering her, helping her recover from durgery, loving her, helping her heal and for transporting her here.

Dottie will not be defined by her past or this unfathomable horror. We vow that from this moment forward Dottie will be loved and treasured beyond measure and she will know it, she will feel it every. single. day.

Please join us in welcoming Dottie, the best is yet to come!

Whattaya get when a Bassett hound daddy and a terrier/poodle type mama get together?

Two of the cutest pups ever!

And even better, mama was scooped up by another rescue and getting spayed. Daddy will stay in his home.

The pups are almost 4 months old and black girl Gia got mamas color and daddy’s build and sleek coat. Brother Doogie got mamas fuzzy coat and daddy’s build and coloring. The pups are sweet and social. Available soon.
