Beware!

***CHECK YOUR GATES, CHECK YOUR FENCES BEFORE YOU LET THEM OUT***
Damaging winds can compromise your fences and blow gates open.

WARNING!!!
We have learned that windy days are RED FLAG alert days, meaning more pets will go missing simply because OWNERS do NOT check to make sure their property is SECURE before letting their pets out to do their business.

Please do NOT let your pets OUTSIDE without checking to see that your GATE is CLOSED EACH time they go outside while the wind advisory is in effect.

Do NOT let your pets OUTSIDE without checking to make sure that your FENCE is still STANDING EACH time they go outside while the wind advisory is in effect.

ALL pets should be wearing COLLARS with ID TAGS & have REGISTERED MICROCHIPS!

**WE WERE ALL TAUGHT TO “KNOCK FIRST!”
❄️Please folks, frigid temperatures provoke unique hiding spots for outdoor cats and wildlife. Under car hoods and in wheel wells are a common spot. Save a life, before turning on the ignition.... !❄️

^~^ PLEASE DON'T LEAVE US IN THE CAR WHILE YOU RUN YOUR "QUICK" ERRAND!

Leaving us in the CAR while you run in a store for a gallon of milk or a loaf of bread, just isn't worth RISKING our LIVES. What if there is a long line, or you run into a friend in the aisle and you start talking? Every MINUTE that passes puts us more at RISK. While you are distracted, we are in serious DANGER.

****PLEASE JUST DON'T DO IT****

LAFPOLI - Our Story.

Meet Chris and Elaine!

Having always been avid animal lovers, we decided to do something that put our love to good use, and in November of 2010 we launched our first FB page and soon after our website. At that time we were one of the very first pages to hit FB as a lost and found network page. In the months and years to follow, many other pages would follow suit resulting in more reunions. “Business” took off as we were bombarded with pet owners who were desperate to locate their lost pet or to reunite the stray that they found. Keeping up with the heartfelt pleas became an overwhelming and daunting task. As the requests for help came in, our following grew and grew! Our team of networkers/followers were just as devoted as we were and the reunions started adding up! We are truly grateful for the assistance and the help of all of the wonderful animal lovers across Long Island. We had absolutely no idea of the desperate need for such a service and how social media would play a role in reuniting an absolute countless number of pets that have gone missing in our communities and for getting our message out there; the importance of pet identification. ~ If you are reading this, you are one of the many special people who care about helping an animal in need. ❤️And like us, you also know that, It HURTS TO CARE. At times it can actually become too painful, and that’s when it is time to take a mental break, which we all need here and there. However, seeing that lost pet find it’s way home to it’s loving family, safe again, off the streets, out of the cold and heat, well, there are just no words to describe what that feels like or how much that means. You know how it feels, we know how it feels. And that’s why we do what we ALL do. ~ We are forever grateful for you, for the LAFPOLI team, because that’s what we all are, a team, and we could never score or accomplish what we set out to do in 2010 without you. God bless.

Chris & Elaine
