4th UPDATE: (🐈‍⬛ Edit: It looks like we’ve made arrangements for every cat in need…thanks everyone!)
We are still housing these cats. Because of the extreme cold polar winter we are experiencing, we feel the temperatures are too severe to put them back. The very feral ones WILL be going back. They have dedicated feeders who monitor them.
💥We do have a few young cats in this group, six months old or so, that need homes.💥
🐾Anyone who can adopt one will get a $500 stipend (per cat) for cat food and supplies, thanks to a very generous donation!🐾
Please text Pam at 304-639-4300 to inquire about adopting one of these cats.
Please SHARE to help us find safe indoor homes for some of these deserving kitties!♥️

2nd UPDATE: 22 cats now🙂♥️

UPDATE: we ended up with 16 and ran out of traps. Will be setting more traps in the morning.

Kathy and Pam have spent the entire New Year’s Day trapping cats! It’s a colony behind a factory in Downtown Wheeling WV, where it was believed there were 12 cats. As you can see, there’s 13 trapped already, and Kathy will soon be on her way to clinic with #14. It’s 7 PM and we’ve still got traps set in case there’s more! We’ll monitor them until it gets too late then try again tomorrow…no cats will be left behind!🙂
Tomorrow, Dr Kylie will spay/neuter every one of them and they’ll be vaccinated and flea treated, too!♥️
Projects like this cost us anywhere from $1500-$3000, depending on if they are males or females. If you can donate to help, it will be put to good use for this good cause!

A kind person found this cat under a dumpster on Chapline Street in Wheeling, WV.Sadly, the finder is staying with her in-laws and they say the cat MUST be gone TODAY.😿
Does anyone know this cat? Is there anyone willing to take the cat in for the finder?

EDIT: The dog has been taken in by a neighbor and will be warm for the night!
He will be at the Ohio County Animal Shelter tomorrow. If he is your dog please get him there tomorrow!!

UPDATE #2: Buddy ( black & white) has been adopted!😻
UPDATE: Pepper Ann ( the tabby) has been adopted to a wonderful home…and renamed Peppermint.😍

🙁Back to the foster home. NOT adopted.😿
The tabby is a female; the black & white is male.
The tabby is very affectionate and loving, and the black & white is very, very playful! Both are 3 to 4 months old.
Available individually, they are not a bonded pair and are from two separate litters.
Both are spayed/neutered, up-to-date with vaccines, and treated with Revolution flea/worm preventative. Message us for information or just come visit them at Clinic Thursday, Jan 2… they’ll be hanging out with our volunteers that day! 🐾♥️🐾
Clinic is 86 27th St. in (South) Wheeling, WV, it is Compassionate Care Spay/Neuter Clinic.
Also, Clinic is in need of cat food, cat litter, towels, and puppy pads; if anyone is able to drop anything off that day, it’s always appreciated!😻

Update Already: a family member of the finder saw the post and wants to give the kitten a wonderful home!♥️ he’ll be vaccinated and neutered at no charge at our clinic next week. We also had a message from the Loved Strayt organization that they would take the kitten if necessary; it’s always great to see other rescue groups step up to help! Thanks everybody!

This kitty was just FOUND at Target at the Highlands, Triadelphia, WV.
He needs somewhere to go; please share!
