Summer is a season of fun right? Picnics, fireworks, parades, pool parties, etc.

BUT. Summer is also the time for excessive heat. As much as a lot of us humans enjoy the sunshine, please make sure you're keeping the animals in mind as well.

Make sure you watch out for hot pavement when going for a walk with your pet. Make sure you have water to keep both you and your pet hydrated. It also doesn't hurt to carry around a travel bowl and extra bottles of water for any animals you happen to see out and about that look like they need a drink!
