This is one of my favorite things to work with Niya on. Her focus. Her willingness to learn. Her drive! She is such a smart girl ♡
We keep challenging her with the focus command, and she keeps getting better.
As a holistic nutritionist, being able to make my own dog food fills me with pride. It's like making a batch of muffins from scratch, baking them yourself, and then enjoying your tastey hard work.
Before, we used to just throw some kibble in a bowl and make sure they were fed. Now, we take the time to prep their food and make sure they are nourished. It feels pretty dang good to be able to feed my dogs meals that I have made for them ♡ This is just the meat base. I used turkey and beef and will often add fresh eggs from my parents or my sisters chickens.
Not knocking the kibble feeders at all. I was one for years. All I'm saying is how much I'm enjoying it and that it makes me feel good.
We have noticed some major differences in the dogs, but the health benefits of raw food will be in another post. For now, this one is just to say how happy it makes me.
I'm super grateful for all the advice my sisters have given me and the local raw dog food providers! If you can't make your own food, @hulu_rawdogfood has AMAZING complete meals that make for an easy transition, and your dogs will love it!

Day 54, and Millie still hesitates to use the ramp. She wants to jump on and off the couch, but as she gets bigger and approaches her due date, she is moving slower, and not as coordinated, so we practice using the ramp 2 or 3 times a day!
