It appears my Litter Announcement system wasn't sending me submitted Litter Announcements consistently over the past couple weeks. If you submitted Litter Announcements (or Retired Friends possibly) during those times and you don't see them on the site, please resubmit - https://www.breedlist.com/add-litter.cfm - I've posted everything I've received so far.

You must be a current FBRL-listed breeder to list a litter on Litter Announcements. Photos must be clear, unprocessed with no filters/frames/removed backgrounds

Just letting people know that I'm going to be a bit slow getting to things, but I will be catching up. I was in a serious car accident a week ago (45mph head-on collision with a distracted driver, 100% not my fault), spent some time in the hospital, but am now home and recovering. Thankfully none of my injuries will be permanent and I'm going to make a full recovery.

A little "after" photo of my totaled car at the towyard. Gang, this little Subaru Crosstrek saved my life. The police told me they didn't see too many people exit their car under their own power and walk around after a crash like I did with this one. I had no idea so many air bags existed in one small car; it was like being in a bouncy house. These cars are amazing in a crash -- a fact I never hoped to test on my own.

It looks like Facebook has decided that the posts on FBRL Kitten Litters and Retired Friends group are "offensive" because it thinks I am selling live animals directly. I do connect interested pet buyers with cat breeders who have litters available, but the FBRL does not, never has, and never will sell animals directly. It removed three posts today so far for litters I just posted, and more may be taken down.

I have put in an extended review and we will see if anything comes of it. However, if they make this stick and don't allow exceptions, this is potentially very bad news for any breeder who has groups or pages on Facebook. If they are dinging me for it simply for advertising other breeders who have kittens and cats for sale, imagine how they will crack down on those who are advertising their own cats, dogs, hamsters, guppies, etc.

I am going to try reformatting future postings to make it more clear that I am sending people to a website that does not sell live animals directly either, but if this continues I will have to shut this group down and come up with another way to inform people about upcoming litters. I may look into BlueSky instead; I already post litters on Instagram as well as here, but whether I will be able to continue that is apparently out of my hands.

Facebook has become increasingly hard to do business with, particularly if you aren't willing to pay for post boosts. I will do what I can to stay here, but I may need to close this page if this continues.

Letting my breeders know to be on the lookout for a scammer who is now making the rounds on the FBRL. He sends a boilerplate letter asking about a specific kitten, but there were enough suspicious things about the email forwarded to me by one of the listers that I did a little checking. Looks like he's making the rounds on cat breeder sites now; a dog breeder flagged him on another site sending identical correspondence but with "kitten" substituting "puppy" and the breed tailored to the person he talked to. If you have received spam emails from Viva Raw (pet food) and CatBreederHub (rival site) as a result of your FBRL listings, I apologize. I have asked them to stop sending emails to listers as I have not given them permission to use my site for marketing purposes.

Since I don't expect this will have any impact on their activity, just judge their motivations accordingly, please.

I apologize for another delay. My mother passed away a week ago Friday. I spent most of last week out of town for her funeral and am now just getting back into the swing of things. I’ll get to every outstanding thing, I promise.

So I realize I'm quite behind on updates right now; I'm dealing with a personal situation: my mother is in a nursing home in year 7 of vascular dementia, and she's dying. This may be hours, or days, or possibly even weeks, depending on how things are going, so I've been making trips up and back (150 miles one way) as developments occur. I plan to get some updates done tomorrow, but I appreciate any patience everyone has at this time.
