Boerboel vs Pitbull!

People often think that pitbull and boerboel are related. This is wrong. Pitbull is the American dog (it's originality) whereas Boerboel is a South African dog. American dog vs South African dog. I will not say much about Pitbull but Boerboels are family dogs. There are Pitbulls that are friendly and those are the one from loving families. In most cases, people want Pits to be monsters and such monsters can easily attack owners if not tested as trained.
Having followed Boerboels for more than 10 years now, i am yet to hear a boerboel attack. I have been a member of South African Boerboels Association (SABBS) since 2018 and I have never saw any report that a boerboel attacked its owners. People must understand that there are many unregistered breeders out there who sell crosses and say those are boerboels ( because they look like Boerboels).
Unfortunately, we will still have cases of such allegations because we have a number of dogs circulating as Boerboels while they are not.
