Dog training isn’t just about teaching the dog. Dog parents get to learn new things too!

Meet Malley and her mom Mrs. Sandy! Malley is the SWEETEST girl, but she is very strong. It makes walks less enjoyable when Malley barks and lunges at other dogs and pulls her mom around on her leash.

Malley is learning appropriate social skills and how to walk on her leash. Mrs. Sandy is learning how to communicate to Malley through the leash and how to read Malley’s body language to be proactive with training.

Just look at how sweet this duo is🤩

This is Oliver! Oliver has been in training for a little over a year to become a therapy dog. He and his mom have made amazing progress since he was rescued from the shelter! Today, Oliver visited an assisted living home for the first time. He did a wonderful job meeting the residents and putting smiles on their faces. I do not take credit for Oliver’s success, but I had the opportunity to be a part of this awesome field trip today!

Enjoy this blooper from a recall video I made today. Coming when called is a very important skill, but so is zooming!

Copper has very good recall which is why I let him off leash in an unfenced yard. Sometimes a dog just needs a moment to be a dog🐶

Susan here is a shelter pet at Heroes Everywhere Animal Rescue. She is the sweetest thing, but she struggles with accepting the leash and resorts to jumping around and biting the leash. She’s still learning, but doing much better. You’d never believe her struggle after watching her loose-leash walk and focus in this video!
