🐾 Snow survived. But what if there’s no sanctuary tomorrow?
In 2020, Snow was found in a den with his siblings — orphaned and alone. Their parents were gone, most likely victims of baiting or culling — a tragic fate faced by many wild dingoes.
He was just a pup, severely dehydrated, emaciated, and suffering from gastric distress due to starvation, along with his five littermates.
Thanks to kind people like you, Snow and his siblings were rescued and brought to Dingo Den Animal Rescue. Here, they found safety, warmth and a second chance.
You may remember Snow from last year — he was bitten by a venomous snake and nearly died. But with your support, we got him the urgent treatment he needed. You helped save his life.
Today, Snow is thriving. He’s playful, confident, and calls the sanctuary his forever home. He even helps educate people about the importance of protecting dingoes and their role in our environment.
But the place that saved Snow is now in danger.

We’ve only got $6,000 left in the bank. It costs:
💔 $14 a day to feed just one dingo
💔 $6,500 to feed, sterilise, microchip, vaccinate, and care for one dingo for a full year
💔 $114,000 a year to operate the sanctuary, provide vet care, and support dingoes both onsite and in foster care
We urgently need to raise $30,000 to keep going.
Please, help us keep the sanctuary operating for Snow and the many dingoes still depending on us. Every donation helps. ❤️

Thank you so much to everyone who has already donated. We’ve hit $5,000. 🐕💗

🎂 It’s Euroa’s 9th birthday today — and yeah, it falls on Friday the 13th.
A day people often think brings bad luck.

But this beautiful wild-hearted boy is hoping for something good.
Because the truth is — the sanctuary he calls home is at risk of shutting down.

Euroa’s birthday wish?
That his friends — you — might chip in to help save his home. 🧡

🆘 We don’t like to be negative. This page is meant to be a joyful space — a place to share the beauty, spirit and importance of Australia’s wild-hearted dingoes.
But the truth is… we’re in trouble.
The sanctuary we’ve spent the last 11 years building is at risk of shutting down. Funds have almost dried up. We have just $6,000 left in the bank — enough to last maybe eight weeks. If we’re lucky.

We get so busy caring for our animals that we often don’t have the time to dedicate to fundraising.
We’re fully volunteer-run and receive no government funding. Every rescue, every rehabilitation, every fight for their protection — it’s all made possible by people like you.
Right now, we urgently need to raise $30,000 to keep Dingo Den going for the rest of the year. If you can help, in any small way, we would be so grateful. And if you can’t donate, please consider sharing this post. It really does make a difference.

Love saves lives. That is why, each and every day, our volunteer team pours out countless hours of love and devotion toward vulnerable dingoes who need our help.

Some of these vulnerable dingoes are displaced pets surrendered by their owners, while others were dumped or rescued from abusive homes. Perhaps the most vulnerable of the dingoes we help are the tiny wild-born orphan pups like Snow, who are usually discovered starving and abandoned in the wild because their parents have been culled by poisoned baits, traps or bullets. So many come to us sick, frail and traumatised by the heartbreaking experiences they've endured.

Partnering together through sponsorship affords you the same privilege that we value: helping the wild-hearted recover from sickness, trauma, life-threatening scenarios and abandonment. We love to see these beautiful dingoes become healthy and happy and we know that you do too.

🎶 ‘Hello! Is it me you’re looking for?’ 🎶
💛 RUSTY 💛
This beautiful sensitive soul is on the look out for his new home. Rusty is currently in foster care and If you don't have the abilty to adopt you can help Rusty by sponsoring to help with his care. Rusty is an intelligent and independent dingo. Once he has warmed up to you he will eagerly greet you and engage in some play, occasionally showing off his cute play-bow. Rusty loves playing and running around with other dingoes at the sanctuary and would love to go to a home that will have a canine companion for him. Rusty’s new home would ideally be one with active adoptors, who would ensure he would get plenty of mental and physical stimulation. He is however, unsuitable to be adopted to a family with young kids. If you think Rusty is the dingo you’ve been looking for, head over to our website at www.dingoden.net and complete an adoption or sponsortship application. Meet and greets are available on application.

Let’s have some fun! 🦊

If you had to pick just ONE word to describe dingoes, what would it be?
Drop your answer in the comments below 👇

a) Mysterious
b) Intelligent
c) Beautiful
d) All of the above!

We love hearing how YOU see these incredible animals. Dingoes are so many things: they’re clever hunters, curious explorers, loyal to their packs, and totally in tune with the Aussie bush. Some people describe them as “ghosts of the outback” because of how stealthy and elusive they are. Others focus on their golden coats and amber eyes—they really are striking, aren’t they?

Your answer helps us better understand what the public loves most about dingoes. Plus, we’re always looking for ways to spark positive conversations around their protection. So whether you think dingoes are wise, wonderful, or a bit wily—we’re here for it!
Vote, tag a mate, and tell us why you picked your answer 💬

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them. Lest we forget".

🦊 Did you know dingoes can rotate their heads nearly 180 degrees?

Yep—these Aussie icons have some seriously flexible necks! This amazing ability helps them scan their surroundings for prey, danger, or just a good shady spot to nap in. Unlike many domestic dogs, dingoes rely on their senses to survive in the wild, and their keen awareness gives them an edge.

Their head-turning flexibility also gives us a hint at just how unique dingoes are. They’ve evolved in Australia for thousands of years, adapting to harsh landscapes, learning to survive with minimal water, and hunting a wide variety of animals to stay alive. Every part of their body—from their flexible necks to their agile paws—is built for the bush.

Fun facts like these remind us that dingoes aren't just "wild dogs"—they’re a distinct species full of special traits that help them thrive in the Aussie wilderness. So next time you’re out in the bush and think you spot a dingo glancing your way… don’t be surprised if they turn their head all the way around to check you out too!
