Sisters Chelsey and Charlie are now available for adoption as a bonded pair! Their foster mama says:

"What a treat this little trio has been!!! The kittens absolutely ADORE playing on their 6 foot cat tree. They love to chase each other up and down until eventually tiring out and having a cat nap on one of the platforms.

They’ve both gone in the litter box from day one. Sometimes they are a bit naughty and enjoy playing in the box when the litter is fresh haha. They are both on wet food twice a day and also have kibble available at all times. The catit meat tubes are a huge hit, as well as the Temptations treats.

The kittens love their vertical space, running around the room together, tunnels, and sitting on the window sill. They play well independently, as well as together. The kittens have thrived in their kitten room, but now that they are older and more confident, are ready to explore a larger space!

Chelsey has definitely been the more outgoing kitten of the two, but with time spent with little Charlie, she really comes out of her shell! Their mother Gia is such a gentle soul, and it really shows in the kittens temperament. I believe Chelsey and Charlie would thrive if adopted together, as they are such good playmates."

If you would like to arrange to meet these little girlies in their foster home, inquire for an adoption application today! 💞

We were so fortunate to have the opportunity to borrow an incubator last week for our premature kittens but we won't always be so lucky - that unit is almost always in use and often the need for one occurs overnight for emergency intakes when clinics are closed. Although we lost the babies (to several contributing factors including how premature, organ development, when found etc.), the surviving kitten stood a chance because of having access to an incubator.

Keeping an ailing and delicate kitten/patient warm is tricky and often dangerous to do with other heat and humidity sources. Rice bags, water bottles and other microwaveable pads often overheat the animal to start and lose heat gradually, leaving them cold again which is detrimental to a weakened immune system. Heating pads don't have a specific enough range of settings to find and maintain the correct temperature (i.e Level 1 is not enough but Level 2 overheats) and offers only base layer contact which if too warm, a weak animal cannot remove itself from.

An incubator is a sick animal's best chance at returning to and maintaining the correct body temperature to have a chance at recovery. It offers a clean and contained environment of controlled warmth and humidity, with specialized holes on the top and front to insert oxygen machine tubes into the unit - another important tool needed for an animal struggling to survive and another vital piece of equipment we will be saving up for.

The unit we are saving for is a Brinsea TLC40 Zoologica series, which will cost approximately $1300 plus shipping. If you would like to contribute towards our goal of investing in this incubator, please consider e-transferring to [email protected] with the memo "incubator". Should someone want to sponsor the unit, we could provide the invoice after purchase or share the link from which one can be purchased!

As always, thank you to our loyal supporters who follow our rescue, cheering us on from the sidelines regardless of the outcomes. Without you, we would not be able to continue our rescue efforts and feel equipped to handle the next rescue. Financial or friendship, your helping hands matter! 🙏🏻

Did you know you can pre-adopt your next cuddly companion? Some of our kit kats aren't ready to be taken home just yet but if one of them has stolen your heart and is the kitten you've been waiting for, you can fill out an adoption application today to secure your little stinker (pending approval).

Kittens under 8 weeks can still be met ahead of time and while we don't "hold" a foster for someone indefinitely, if you have fallen in love and are simply waiting for their age clearance to come or are delayed for personal reasons (trip, moving soon etc), we will work around it!

We also take waitlist requests for those who have their heart set on a specific characteristic! Looking for a lovely calico? Waiting on an elusive orange female? How about a dapper tuxedo male? Let us know who you're on the prowl for and we will contact you if any upcoming litters have potential suitors on their way!

The little sweetheart pictured above has been pre-adopted with her brother and they will go to their new home in the next few weeks when they reach the 8 week old mark. They are even already named by the forever family who is eagerly awaiting their arrival! Congratulations to Nova (pictured) and Milo (grey and white floof sibling)! 🩶🤍🩶

*Pre-adoptions are not guaranteed until you have completed an adoption application and have been approved, with an approximate take home date established. An application alone does not guarantee holding the cat or kitten in question and we still reserve the right to refuse any application we feel is not the right fit in the interest of a successful adoption.

*Completing a pre-approval requires the understanding that in the wait time between your approval and the adoption itself, health issues may arise which require treatment prior to or after adoption, which may alter the take home date or the adopter's interest. If the adopter changes their mind for any reason, we ask to be notified ASAP so other inquires can be entertained in a timely manner.
