Stopped by Wilbanks Captive Bred Reptiles today for some feeders and almost had to leave with more 🐍. I’m not usually a ball/royal guy but some of their babies are spectacular!🔥

🐍Prepping to pair the striped line Spotted Pythons this fall/winter! This girl is going to get out of her quarantine bin and into a display enclosure. Going to stick to coconut husk because it’s affordable and accessible, but can’t decide how much I want to focus on arboreal furniture 🤔. I have one that loves it and one that ignores it so this girl could go either way!

🐍Hognose tip!

Get a nervous baby onto aspen or some other substrate they can burrow into ASAP! My nervous babies calm down during handling and have better feed responses when I do this.

I always add some charcoal for my springtail cultures but it seems like baby Armadillidium gestroi love it too! These guys get big and bold with yellow spots.

Coastal Carpet Pythons are beautiful! This is my baby caramel Coastal who decided to crawl up my arm while I was trying to change his water 😅. He was very interested in the phone!

Look at that bulge! Some new Carpet Python owners are intimidated by how big the feeder is to the snake. Don't worry! They often eat oversized prey in the wild. I shoot for 10-20% of their body weight and around 1.5x their width at the widest part of their body.

New juvenile carpets, so we needed quarantine bins. A Walmart trip later, and we are set at less than $20 each! I put in some fake foliage to make them feel even more secure!
