Behavioral issues in dogs is something that so many owners have to deal with on a daily basis. Having the opportunity to make such a positive impact not only on this dog but also the owner is the best reward of my career. Seeing these kinds of changes in a dog’s behavior is something that does not happen overnight and it is something that takes months of teamwork, hard work and dedication from both the owner and behavior professional.

When a dogs specific needs are not being fully met along with a combination of their genetics; behavior issues like this can occur. It is so important to take all factors into consideration and know that behavior problems don’t happen out of nowhere. There is always an underlying cause and a certain trigger or triggers that are influencing the dog to act this way.

When working with behavioral cases it is KEY to break up the process into small enough steps in which the dog is already succeeding from the beginning of training. By doing so this will make the process of working together with the dog run a lot smoother than if trying to make things too difficult for the dog to understand from the start. Remember when watching videos like this, this is just a small preview of all of the work I put into my career with so much passion and love! 🐾 ❤️

In order to accomplish teaching your dog any behavior; breaking down the steps enough for them to understand is KEY for setting them up for success! Just like people, no two dogs are alike and we all learn in a different way and that’s OKAY! When working with any dog and their owner; I always make it a priority throughout our entire time working together to go at the learning rate of both the dog and owner. By doing so, I am able to make sure that they are both understanding everything from start to finish!

What joy do I feel when after working so hard together and developing such a beautiful relationship with my clients seeing such a beautiful smile light up on their faces! Being able to see how this dog loves spending so much time with his owner and how their relationship has strengthen so much over time!

When working with any dog, one of the things that I am constantly thinking about is if this dog is really enjoying what I am currently teaching them? And if the answer is no that is totally okay! Not all dogs enjoy doing the same thing and there is NOTHING wrong with that! The possibilities of finding things that your individual dog will enjoy doing are endless! It is so important to keep this in mind when working with any dog including your own dog! Remember that at the end of the day; seeing our dogs enjoy their life to the fullest doing the things that they enjoy the most is what is most important!

Anyone who’s raised a puppy can relate to this 100% Remember that all puppies go through different developmental stages in their life as they grow into adulthood. Mouthing is a natural behavior in puppies and it’s the way they feel the world around them!

When it comes to handling and having a mouthy puppy it’s important to be patient with your puppy when teaching them not to bite you and staying calm throughout the entire training session. Something else to remember is that boredom also plays another huge role in puppy mouthing so keep your puppy busy with lots of interactive toys and outdoor decompression time either in your backyard with supervision or neighborhood.

This tip will help your dog understand how good it feels to be pet and receive so much love from you! This puppy here is doing such a good job at demonstrating what one can achieve with lots of positive reinforcement and patience!

What are some things you do to keep your puppy busy when they start biting what they are not supposed to? Share some comments below! 🐶⬇️
