Today seems to not have started yet as now I am on my to the vet to pick up horses, but I was able to sneak in a meet and greet and Crew who I have been trying my darnedest to post got adopted!!!! We still have 2 amazing horses still looking for their next chapters!

Just to keep our followers utd. We are on our way to an emergency seizure. We responded to 1 this morning, unfortunately we got to the vet and the pour baby yes 16 to 18 month old passed away. We are on our way back to assess the other xx and remove as many as possible. This is a sad day but my hope is we can rescue the other xx and get them through.
We are still needing to catch 5 but in total today we have 5, 1 deceased, 2 studs, 1 mare (most likely prego), a long yearling.
We will allow authorities due what they need to do. We will do what we do best and care for them.

For reference point it will cost the bare minimum of $2500 to vet all the horses. That is coggins, gelding, vaccines, wormer, this does not include hay, training and dentals.

I have been wallowing in my pain, getting chores done, but no motivation to do anything beyond the necessary. But I realized that Otter would have grunted but been excited for an adventure always willing to do what I asked, tried beyond words. So today I tried. I was lucky to have a lucky dragon that is finally healthy and you all have been so gracious to sponsor as we don't know what will happen with his eyes.
Falcor did AMAZING, my heart wasn't really into it but he took care of me. Went down the road for alittle, ran around the arena. We have some things to improve on.
My heart is still broken, will always be missing a piece but I know Otter would have wanted another adventure.. so adventures await with a lucky dragon.
(We have alot of muscle to build back up as he has been stalled and with limited light exposure)

I wasn't expecting today.
I wasn't expecting to loose my best riding partner who taught me more about myself than about how to ride. We fought really hard but he told me something wasn't right and when we went back In today it was clear that he wasn't going to get better. Today I let my best friend go. Too young, too much potential too much to still live.

I am super excited to announce Traveler was said YES to!! He is heading up to Dallas to start a new life with his new mom!!! Lucky boy and I could not have asked for a better match for him!
I laughed bc I was watching a clip of say yes to the dress(i was hot and bored), and told her I want to ask are you saying yes to adopting Traveler??
We both laughed and she said yes !

This sweet boy deserves it all but mostly a family to love him. He has amazing ground manners, stands like a champ for grooming, baths, tacking. He has a heart of gold. He is definitely high high energy in the arena, barrel horse. But is finding out that the trails are pretty awesome as well. He definitely needs a confident owner. He does not buck, kick, bite but he does move out. Does great being ponied and truly loves attention. He does ride western and English.

This boy is not a beginner friendly horse. He is a step up for sure. He knows the pattern, he is in need of a refresher and a tune up. He loves his job and ready to go. I was told he dabbled in English but, personally we don't see alot of it in him. He has been on trail rides and likes to go. He is not a dangerous horse but he is not a whoa and more like 3rd gear. He is sweet and personable on the ground and all business when riding. He has been a true pleasure to watch in his rehabilitation as he is such a sweet heart. Brought him down the road and he did amazing. He got very excited about heading home but controllable. He needs a confident rider to do the best.

So we have another one finding a home!
He wasn't posted, he was returned (for whatever reasons I don't care). Reevaluate, cleared, up dated on everything. Had 1 home in mind, but ended up getting a call for a return adopter. And I knew this was his best outcome!!
Congrats Gilly u got a good one!!! Done mind my very tired face. I am super happy for him

I'm super excited that these 2 are going to be joining an amazing program at Pawnee isd with a brand new program they are starting. Equine assisted therapy which is amazing.
Baxter who was in foster care growing and becoming a big boy until the perfect place came and our so sweet Porter !

Thanks to all of you and our match donor( a friend at Lost Meadows Mule Refuge) we have enough funds to care for his monthly food, farrier and general care. His medical will come up but now that we have thisnto help off set it. We are doing great!
Almost time to break out of the barn buddy. Next week he gets to join a herd!
