Yesterday, November 13th, was Dottie’s Gotcha Day, and though the day has passed, I remain eager to share my gratitude. The memory of capturing her after her period as a stray in Humble, Texas, outside Houston, remains very clear. Following community attempts, my decision to buy a trap proved fruitful. Javier and I located her securely trapped and visibly scared on that cold November morning. From that day forward, she instantly became an integral and deeply loved part of my life. I’ll always love you Dottie…until the end of time!!♥️💋♥️

I know there are lots of you who have lost a dear and sweet pet in the past…so I have a question. As some of you may know, I lost my sweet Dottie in June 2023. She died unexpectantly and I had no idea that she had any health problems. She got her yearly checkups, all of her shots, ate the best food, plenty of supplements, and daily walks! So when we found her dead…it was quite a shock. Plus I had to help my husband get her in the car so we could take her to the vet for cremation arrangements! I was devastated and I’ll never ever forget it! Even after all of that…one day, I would love to get another dog, preferably another white shepherd! However, my husband doesn’t want me to have another dog and it’s “killing” me cause I want one so bad!!! My question is…have any of you ever been in this situation….i.e. you wanted a dog but your spouse didn’t. If so, how did you deal with it and were you ever able to get another dog?? Thank You!♥️
