I know there are lots of you who have lost a dear and sweet pet in the past…so I have a question. As some of you may know, I lost my sweet Dottie in June 2023. She died unexpectantly and I had no idea that she had any health problems. She got her yearly checkups, all of her shots, ate the best food, plenty of supplements, and daily walks! So when we found her dead…it was quite a shock. Plus I had to help my husband get her in the car so we could take her to the vet for cremation arrangements! I was devastated and I’ll never ever forget it! Even after all of that…one day, I would love to get another dog, preferably another white shepherd! However, my husband doesn’t want me to have another dog and it’s “killing” me cause I want one so bad!!! My question is…have any of you ever been in this situation….i.e. you wanted a dog but your spouse didn’t. If so, how did you deal with it and were you ever able to get another dog?? Thank You!♥️

This is Katheryn everyone….Dottie’s momma. As 2024 approaches, it brings both sad and happy memories of her. Sad in that I don’t have my sweet girl anymore and to know that this time last year…she was with me! However I am happy to know that she is no longer suffering with whatever took her from this world AND that she will always be in my heart! Lastly, I want to share with you a gift that one of my friends’ sister made. It’s a wooden box embossed with one of my favorite pictures of Dottie. I will use it to store all of my keepsakes and memories of her. I hope everyone have a Happy, Blessed, and Safe New Year!!

I had this photo book of Dottie made by Google! It includes every single picture I snapped of her from the first day I had her to the last. I’ve had it for a while but just didn’t have the courage to open it. Well today, I finally opened it! It brought back tons of memories. That trap on the cover is how I “rescued” her! She was a hard one to catch but I finally got her with the help of friends. This book will have a special spot in her room!♥️. Btw…Dottie was rescued when she was 4 yrs old so she had just turned 13 on her birthday on April 21 when she passed on June 21.

Hi all…this is Katheryn. As I mentioned before, I’ve turned one side of a jack and jill bath to Dottie’s room. It has pictures of her in addition to other stuff. It’s been tough getting this task done because it just makes me so sad. However today, I got the strength and courage to hang several pictures of her and to be honest….all I could do was smile the whole time. It just brought back so many sweet memories of her!!! I love my girl and miss her oh so much.♥️😢

Hi everyone…this is Katheryn…Dottie’s momma. For those of you who have been following my sweet girl…I want you to know that she passed on yesterday and is now in heaven! This picture was taken the day before she passed. She was the best girl ever and my heart is broken. 💔

Good morning everybody. So sorry that I’ve been away but still celebrating my birthday that was on April 21st. Guess what…I’m 13 yrs Young now!!!Mom got me birthday cookies and took me for a long and fulfilling walk where I got to do one of my favorite things…roll around in the grass! I also wore my birthday tutu, scarf, and headband which turned into a neck band during the walk! Life is good everyone and I love every day of it!!♥️🎂🎁🥳🎈🎊🐾

Hi everybody….Dottie here! Just checking in to let everyone know that I’m doing great! Mom and I have been going on our walks and I feel great. I do have a touch of arthritis in my right back hip but momma is on it and has it under control! Wishing everybody a happy day…bye!♥️

Hi everyone!!! Sorry I’ve been away so long…momma had to remind me to comment on my page. So, everything is going just great! I’m happy, feel good, and continue to enjoy my daily walks!! In particular, there’s this one neighbor name Diana that I love very very much. She’s so nice to me and when momma and I walk down her street….I always want to go to her door.…hoping she will let me in. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn’t! One day last week, she let me in and had these delicious treats for me. She also let me walk around her house. Of course, I’m a good girl and didn’t make any mistakes! She also lets me drink out of her cat’s water bowl. I’m sure that’s who I was looking for when I walked around her house. Momma seems to think I’m a cat lover….and I do too! Here’s a picture of me standing at Diana’s door! P.S. That bow on me is actually my doggie bags. Momma likes to carry them there because she’s never without them which is a good thing since you never know!!😊

Hi everybody…just want you to know that I’m doing great! Momma and I walk everyday and I still love to roll around in
different yards….especially freshly watered grass! Momma and I walk early in the morning since it’s so hot now. I hope everyone is doing great!

Hi everyone….just checking in to wish everyone a Happy New Year! It’s cold here in Arlington but momma and I still have our walks…which I love!! One thing that has happened is that I’ve lost my hearing…I can hear momma when she talks really loud but when she talks in a normal voice….I don’t hear her. However, I think it’s ok since I never listened to her anyway plus now my naps are very quiet and peaceful!!! Overall, I’m a happy girl and I hope you all are happy too!🤗♥️

Hi everybody….l was out walking with momma in Tyler, TX and we came upon this strange looking tree. It is a Bald Cypress and those ugly things underneath it are called “knees”! I was told that they grow in moist areas close to water! The Cypress is also Louisiana’s state tree! I didn’t want to but momma made me take a picture with those knees!🙁

Hi everybody!!! I haven’t posted since July but want everyone to know that I’m doing just fine. I had a trip to my grandparent’s home and they have an elevator!! I’d never ridden an elevator before and did just fine….wasn’t scared or anything. But you know what, I showed momma that I could walk up the stairs so the elevator rides stopped! I think that’s pretty good for an 11 year old….what do you think??? Lastly, I got a chance to visit and play with my cousin Zoe! She was lots of fun but I didn’t like it when she approached my food bowl….so I growled at her! You know what???…. Tiny Zoe growled back at me….lol!😂
