Not sure how 10 years has passed since this boy arrived. This was a dog who told me at birth that he was staying here ... I remember holding the wee mite in my hands and feeling a connection that has endured. He is the only dog to bring me a rose for Valentine's day! Enjoy this collection of photos .. the single shot was taken just yesterday as he trotted along the fence - still moving beautifully!

Wayne and I took Tara for a stroll around the park at Townsend. She's growing up nicely - 8 months old today.

Forest City show today .... 3 half sibs with the same dam met in the ring. Jaelithe, 5 (Fergus x Aran), Aslan, 3 (Fraser x Aran) and Rogue, not quite 7 months (Tanner x Aran). Jaelithe owned the first show, going WB and BOW. Second show (South west Ontario Sporting Dog Specialty) Jaelithe took WB but lost out to baby brother Rogue for BOW. Aslan failed to place, but is doing better each time out - her turn will come. Rogue went on to win Best Puppy in Specialty under judge Rosemary Shoreman, handled by Katelyn Fisher. Good day out. Kate will be posting a photo. Congrats to Jaelithe and owners Cheryl and Rob, now at 9 points on only her second trip to Canada.

Our handsome boy Fraser has wanted to be an only dog most of his life. He has SO much love to give, but it's hard sharing with a whole pack. Last week he moved to our friends' house, where he can lap up all the attention his heart desires, and while he laps up that attention he is also helping to heal their hearts from the loss of Kelly (his mother) a short time ago. Fraser will still be out at occasional shows or events as part of the Crossfire team.

Introducing Rogue .... Crossfire Autumn Splendour. This is the boy from Aran's December litter that is staying at Crossfire. Love this confident little guy! He had fun exploring around the little lake at Townsend. Last shot is Blanca, enjoying a visit at my sister's place a few days back.

Puppies 12 weeks .... such fun this morning watching them learn about ice puddles. They were like a bunch of kids sliding around - no pics of that, but got one of Skittle this afternoon crossing the ice patch. They sure enjoy their romp in this yard.

Happy 2nd Birthday to the Crossfire "GO" litter. Pictured is Crossfire Go Go Girl aka Peanut - photos taken during her field tests last fall. Peanut made her debut in the show ring yesterday at Woodstock and handled the day well, although her cousin Aslan took the point.

Tansy went for her hip and elbow xrays last week (no official results yet) and Blanca went along for the ride. Stopped in Elora on the way home and snapped a few shots in the park above the gorge.

Tested the pups with (an already dead) quail .... Every pup picked it up and took it to Dan. Kerri is off to her new home, so missed this fun. Tara also did well but I didn't get pics of her. 😃 Pups are now 8 1/2 weeks.
