Lizzie's situation has become urgent, as the family who found her can no longer keep Lizzie. She will be taken to the shelter in the next few days.

Lizzie is an all natural, about ten months old, and is a typical, rambunctious, silly pup. She gets along well with other dogs, and is still a bit timid around strangers. Lizzie was found dumped in a parking lot, along with her sweet brother. A caring family took them in and found a home for her brother but are looking for a loving family for Lizzie. They cannot keep her as they are over the city limit.

It is unknown if she gets along with cats but she does fine with older children. Lizzie goes into her crate willingly at bedtime and is housebroken. She spends most of her time in the yard, but does scratch to go out outside.

Lizzie is just a baby and deserves to find a loving, forever family. Please complete an application at www.dobermanrescuenm.org.

We haven't said much about Macie since her eye surgery in June. The tumors on her eye and eyelid were removed and have completely healed.

If you recall, Macie was the senior blue girl out of Texas and the vet guesses her age is close to 11 years. Except for incontinence and arthritis, she is in good overall health. She is a sweet, even tempered girl who enjoys treats, exploring the backyard and naps on her cozy bed. She has found her voice and barks/howls at walkers and joggers along the back fence of 'her' yard. LOL

Due to her advanced age, DRNM has decided not to place Macie up adoption. She will live out her golden years in her foster home.
