Reagan went out this evening by herself behind the house on our property and killed her first squirrel ever with a pellet gun. Then killed her first deer by herself with a crossbow. I'm so proud of the young lady she is becoming.

I don't get to hunt much these days so getting out is always a blessing. There's no better feeling than the one you get seeing your target buck on the ground. It was such an awesome hunt.

With the busiest time of year for us, I've been slacking on getting photos and posting them. I'll do better. Here's a fairly new form that I haven't used before. Seems very popular with the folks that have seen it. And a small glimpse of euros waiting to go home. The euros this year have been INSANE! Thank goodness for my buddy knocking them out. Back to work...

Hey y'all! I'm looking for a few spare capes. If you kill a decent buck that you're not going to shoulder mount, ask the butcher to cape if for you. Bring it by the shop and I'll do the rest. I'll pay you back for the fee, either by taking it off the price of your euro or I can just reimburse you if your doing a euro yourself. Please let me know if anyone has any. Have a great evening.

Had an amazing time with some great friends in my home state of West Virginia this week on a bear hunt. As usually, she didn't disappoint. The weather was perfect, the fishing was great and we both came home with bears. I got a pretty cool mount in mind for this one. Vacation is over, back to work in the morning...

Beautiful black coyote finished up last night. This thing is intimidating to look straight at, haha. Will make a great addition to the client's trophy room.

Just had a late lunch/early birthday dinner. Tried some of this wingman seasoning from Hangar Bay on our T-Bone steaks. We all agreed that it's superior to our normal commercial seasonings that we use. Can't wait to try it on some venison. It's vanilla cake with homemade peanut butter buttercream, homeade chocolate ganache and homemade peanut butter cups. I've been wanting to do a standing bird and i finally got the chance. This bird belongs to a family friends daughter. It is her first turkey. I called it in for her and she helped me mount it. She did a great job on the hunt and an even better job grooming this bird out. I might have to hire her, lol

I had the honor and privilege to attend this class from Wes Mote in Texas back in July. It was a great time and I met some fantastic people. I can't wait for the next one. Thanks ladies for putting on this podcast.

Our first group podcast!

We had the privilege to be surrounded by many amazing taxidermists at Wes Mote’s Alumni Group class in Texas. Wes Mote is World Champion Taxidermist in Whitetail. He is also a great teacher and puts on group classes a few times a year. Wes put on this class for his past students, to teach some of new and exclusive molding and casting techniques.

We wanted to be able to share a little bit of the experience and also get into the minds of some of these great taxidermists. Not only do we talk competitions, and the competing mindset, we talk about tips, tricks, answer some questions from Taxidermy Q&A, and much more!
