The wait is over! Our large Dubia roaches are back in stock.
1-½ Inch Dubia roaches are commonly fed to large bearded dragons, chameleons and tarantulas, small tegu and monitors, and other insectivores.
Just a quick note about large size availability: One-inchers are back in stock now, and we will be adding larger sizes (1.25 and 1.5 inchers) as they become available over the next few weeks. Sorry for the delay and thanks for your patience! We unexpectedly ran low on the larger sizes last month, and it's taken some time to rebuild our inventory. We've made breeding female Dubia roaches available for sale again after a long absence. We've had a ton of requests for them and decided to mark a few "in-stock" and see how it goes.
When they sell out, we will add more as they become available. When they're out of stock, you may enter your email address on the product page to receive an email notification when they become available again.
Get up to 70 days head start on a new colony with existing breeders. Breeding female Dubia roaches are already mature and most will already be gravid.
Shipping Update:
Flight cancellations have slowed, USPS appears to be reliably accepting live animal shipments again, and delayed packages are finally being delivered.
If you have a delayed package in-transit, know that sometimes tracking is helpful and sometimes it's not, but USPS IS getting these packages delivered now.
We'll be back to our normal shipping schedule in the next day or so, with fingers crossed. It does appear that the flight cancellation situation is resolving.
I will start marking Dubia roaches back in stock shortly. I let many of them go out of stock on the website to help deal with the shipping situation, but as we return to normal between now and Friday 1/14, I will make them available for purchase again.

Shipping Update: Widespread flight cancellations across the country has caused general shipping delays for USPS. We are aware of this and are working to get everyone's order to them as quickly as possible.
Some orders are affected while others are not. Tracking is sometimes helpful and sometimes not. USPS ships mail as flights become available, and we are hopeful that these delays will clear up soon as flight cancellations are diminishing after reaching a peak last week, around Thursday Jan 6 or Friday Jan 7.
Sorry about that! We're doing everything we can and appreciate your patience. Every indication is that it will resolve soon.

This is advance notice of a sale for our facebook followers. Next Saturday we're going to announce a sale where customers with a recurring order are offered a 10% discount on that recurring order. We also plan on raising prices next year starting in January (sorry!!!), and recurring orders can lock in our currently low prices on Dubia roaches.

We haven't raised prices in 4 years, and we hate that we have to, but cost realities force our hand.

This is a quick status and update post.
To reiterate, we are back to shipping most orders same day again after recovering from pandemic and lockdown related issues. Those issues are in the past and unlikely to ever return.
While the business was affected, the issues had nothing to do with the roaches. They are fine and healthy as ever. More healthy, in fact. I made a significant advancement in our roach chow formula, but I'll post more on that when I have time.
We did have some shipping delays a few weeks ago due to the supply chain issues you've probably heard about, but those are resolved now and there's no indication they will be a problem going forward.

Hi everyone,
First, new orders are back to shipping same-day again, as are autoship orders.
As you may have guessed, I ran into some fairly serious pandemic-related issues. They involved things like lockdowns, Covid, and supply shortages.
These issues are mostly resolved now, and they did not affect the roaches. For a while though, they did manage to overwhelm everything else.
Now that things are back up and running, I am working to resolve issues that may still exist with previous orders.
If you have questions about an order, please use the contact form on the website or email [email protected] - even if you have already done so in the past. This is the quickest way to resolve outstanding issues, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
I deeply apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced as a result of the issues mentioned above. For those interested, I may say more about what happened later. I always imagined I would tell the story, but now that I'm writing this, it seems the most important thing is getting everything back on track and running smoothly again.
