On Friday, Chuck, and I took our daughter and granddaughter down to Woodburn, to visit the Wooden Shoe Tulips. Bright, yellow tulips really stood out against the ominous, dark, storm clouds. We got caught by a few showers, but we were prepared with umbrellas and raincoats.

It has been a busy weekend for the Younglove Bunnies. Starting with a pancake breakfast and egg hunt at our local High School. They brought smiles to hundreds of faces, both kids and adults alike.

After spending the past ten days of isolation due to freezing rain and a bout of Covid19, we all had cabin fever. Finally free, we spent an afternoon at the Town Center Mall. Lots of others had the same idea. Now the Younglove Bunnies have a lot of new friends.

Hoppy New Year. Tonight, we went to a celebration, honoring the Bing cherry, in downtown Milwaukie. It was first cultivated in Milwaukie by a Chinese immigrant named Ah Bing.

We have a little guest staying with us this month. Our friend David, at church, asked us to find a bunny like our Vanna. We found Lily at a breeder in Newburg. She's the sweetest little bunny. We are caring for her until Christmas Eve. Then, David plans to surprise his wife with a cute, cuddly little friend to keep her company in her home office.

Bathroom Chickens

Yesterday, we tried to insulate their outside coop and run a portable A/C unit for them. It still got up to 90 + degrees, so this morning we switched gears and tarped over everything we have stored in our extra bathroom. Then the fun began, trying to round them up in 90 degree heat and bringing them inside, where none on them had ever been before. Now, they are all feeling very sorry for themselves.
