About time Veterinarians are acknowledging Purina's Beneful is bad and harmful to your dog.
They should also write:
It may cause cancer, cardiac problems, strokes, blood pressure abnormalities, thyroid, renal failure, hepatic failure, and more!
Glad to see this in a Vets office as they are taking note (finally)!
Urgent foster or foster to adopt!
Julian's current foster is going away for work next week and he urgently needs a new foster carer.
Hey, I'm Julian a kelpie x and absolute legend. Well that's what I heard my foster mum calling me. She also said I'm a gorgeous lil chunky monkey deserving of all the goods and love.
I'm a very loveable bloke and will shower you with cuddles and am more then happy to just sit and soak up your company. I also love to play, it's great fun. I am a fast learner and attentive too. So far I have learnt to sit and wait but I'm always eager to learn more.
When it comes to kids that's a big ✔️ I have been around younger kids with the youngest being 4 and some older kids too. So far I've been more then happy to meet other dogs too so that's another ✔️
When I was a young puppy I got a little bit sick and I have been taking steroids to help me feel better. I have gradually been cutting down and after a visit with my vet they have said I can stop all together. It's been a couple of weeks now and I'm doing really well. My foster mum says that I'm my usual cheeky self 😜.
My foster mum has to go away for work soon and I need a new place to stay. I'm pretty sure I give the ultimate cuddles but theres only one way to find out.

It’s a shame she doesn’t actually show how to approach a dog.
My advice? Don’t. Let the dog come to you, and let them check you out first.

Hope is 4mths and is looking for a Foster or Foster to Adopt!!
Some people reckon Hope is a thing with feathers. Nah! Hope is a dog, with a brilliant brindle coat, excellent ears, and a big favour to ask. You see, I’m Hope. That’s my name. And I am looking for a home.
There are some things that I don’t like and I’d like to tell you about them straight up so we understand each other. I do not like mops or vacuum cleaners.
I do like people, other dogs, and my very special ducky fren that I got from Bunnings.
I am learning sit, stay, down and things like that. I do not bark at random things, only rarely for very important reasons. I will not tear your washing from the clothesline and that’s a promise. I am very polite about my toileting and prefer to go on grass, please.
I would like a home with nice people who will love me and keep up my training. Let’s face it, we all need a little Hope – even you!

Hey there. My name’s Barney. I’m around a year old and I’m here to ask you to adopt me.
I’m a bitzer. You know, bits o’ this, bits o’ that. If anyone asks, I say Staffy cross. Whatever they are, one of those bits has great eyebrows.
But looks aside, I think I bring a fair bit to this adoption. I’m friendly. I’m smart. I’m desexed, vaccinated, and most importantly, I’m toilet trained. I know some basic commands and I like to know more. I’m pretty good on a lead. I am working on crate training. Yeah, and I don’t scoff my food. I have very nice mealtime manners.
I’m learning to get along with dogs and kids. I haven’t met very many yet. Haven’t met a cat yet either. What I am really looking for is a human bestie. You know, someone to love me and teach me, someone I can have adventures with and snuggle up with at the end of the day.

Foster Needed!!
Hello Everyone in Facebook Land, my name is Hoover I am eleven months and have made my way to the pound through no fault of my own.
You see I was living with other dogs that have also ended up here not sure why but have heard there was to many of us in the home where we were living and we could not stay there anymore.
Anyway, a little bit about me. I am not to big and not to small just the right size really. I am a happy boy and very friendly, I am good with other dogs but not sure how would go with those fluffy things you call cats.
If I were to share my home with children, I would need a home with older children to begin with until Scruffer Lovers get to know me.
I have been here a couple of weeks now and the pound is getting full so I am needing to make my great escape can you help me on my rescue Journey to find my forever home.

Foster or Foster to Adopt Home Needed!!
Hey, this is Chip talking to you. I love a chat to while away the hours, but today I have something serious to discuss. Fostering.
Fostering is when a nice human, like yourself, takes in a nice dog, like myself, and takes care of him like he’s part of the family. The human (you) teaches the dog (me) all the things he needs to know to live nicely with others. The dog (me) loves the human (you) and he is forever grateful for the special gift of caring. They all get help and support from Scruffer Lovers. Everyone wins.
But there’s a bonus. There’s a thing called Foster to Adopt and that’s where the human (you) and the dog (me) fall so much in love with each that we make it a permanent arrangement.
So here’s some stuff about me. My name is Chip. I am a 3 year old English Staffordshire bull terrier. I am the most handsome, winning little (biggish) nugget of a dog who ever graced a human lap. I’m good with other dogs, good with children, not so good with cats and livestock. Very good at fetch. Oh, and housetrained.
If you know of a nice human (you?) who might like a very nice dog (me!) for a short time or maybe forever, let me know.

Willow - Leave It Step 2
Willow holds a Drop Cue until released, while adding distance and minor distractions. Time to start stretching that into a drop at a distance. On her last lesson we started to intro her to this from a Sit (until released). We took a step back, leaned in, and used her hand signal for drop (no verbal cue). This week we used a ‘barrier’ to encourage her not to move forward. This is her first real lesson. As she was keen and did well repeating last week intro, I added the verbal cue. She’s as a mart as she is beautiful!

After deciding on getting some chickens, I looked into what breed suited our lifestyle. I decided on Orpingtons. A really lovely breed! We now have 8 hens and a rooster. After slowly introducing Peyton and Busta to the chooks in their run, we have started training onlead, visiting the flock free-ranging.
