So excited to share the first of a few gift guides I've been working on with you!

I love discovering new brands + products, and more importantly I love sharing them with you, especially when the majority are independent, as it's more important now than ever to be shopping small. Mostly women-led and/or East London-based businesses featured, too! 💖

Nava + Me: This travel mat zips into its own bag, is super soft and comfy AND has a built in snuffle mat - perfect for those wintery trips to cosy pubs + giving your dog somewhere to be when you're around lots of family - so clever! 💤

Ear to the Hound: I love biothane leads, especially when the weather is like this! Ear to the Hound make brilliant ones and have some very fun colours available. ✨

kind2: I find shampoo bars so handy (for me and the dog!), especially when travelling, and of course using less plastic isn't to be sniffed at 🧼

The Muzzle Movement: Properly sized + comfy muzzles in so many nice colours, so your lovely dog who happens to need a muzzle can still look lovely! 💛

Scout's Honour: The most accurate + brilliant iron on patches to adorn your dog's accessories! I've followed this brand for yonks and just love everything they do. 'Been there peed on that' is a personal favourite 🌲

Catford Dogs: What kind of South East London native would I be if I didn't feature one of their own?! This has been our go to day-to-day lead for a good few years and has withstood some serious adventuring, so very happy to rep this lovely brand! 🐾

🦺 SAFETY TIME 🦺

A sometimes tough-to-talk-about topic, but a very important one!

The reality is that dogs and young children should never ever be left alone together, regardless of how trustworthy and loving the dog is. It's really vital to remember that as much as they are family members, dogs are animals, and we can't possibly know their every thought or feeling and how they may convey this. 🐾

It's our job as responsible humans to make sure we take all the steps that we can to ensure that everyone stays safe! Preparation + prevention is key 🔐

Your two main options when it comes to cohabiting dogs and young children / babies are to provide active supervision (full adult attention, no distractions) or separation, which may seem tricky to some at first, but it's imperative to ensure safety for your dog and child.

Whether you're looking out for a sensitive 'reactive' dog, a fresh puppy or anything in between, there are times when we all need to be advocates for our dogs 📣
