(KF) Congratulations to Trisch and Rich Armading! They have adopted Angie, who recently came back to GREAT due to the death of her GREAT dad. While we are saddened by his passing and send our deepest sympathies to his family, we are happy to see Angie doing so well and thrilled that she has gone to aanother wonderful home!

Special thanks to Dina Hunter and Robin Del Guidice, who each cared for Angie in her transition from foster home to adoption!

(KF) We are so sad to let you all know that Freedom, our forever foster dog from China, has passed away.

Freedom was one of five dogs that came to GREAT from Macau, China, home of the only legal track in China, and one of the absolute worst. When Freedom went in for his routine neuter, it was discovered he was cryptorchid, and the undescended testicle basically turned into a diffuse, inoperable tumor. We made the decision to give Freedom as much quality of life as possible, and he did so much better than any of us expected - the mass remained stable, and Freedom lived a happy life.

This weekend, a tragic accident occurred when two of the other dogs in the home were playing and bumped him, causing a collision. Freedom suffered a bad compound fracture, much worse than what would be normal in this situation, and after consulting with the veterinarian, we made the hard but necessary decision to end his pain.

Run Free, Freedom - we are so blessed to have had you in our lives. ❤️

(KF) Our hearts are breaking tonight as we say goodbye to one of our own. Beth Hood passed away this evening with her husband Dave at her side. Beth and Dave gave a forever home to their beloved greyhounds Cody, Josie and Hazel, and Beth spent years being one of our most consistent and dependable gift wrappers. She loved her family, Disney, theater, Dark Shadows and of course, greyhounds, and she loved to laugh. We’ll miss her always.
