Skye and I's adventure this past week 🥰
Day 1, I got on, day 2 we went for a trail ride with an amazing group of horses. Day 3 - we played with smoke, a big ball... and other ponies.

FLF Milie's Heritage of Grace... AKA Milie (NOT Milly!)
100% pasture kept 24/7 with no special oils or fussing over and she maintains her feather year round. Amazing temperament and her Genetics speak volumes!!! She still has some filling out to do, but at 4 years old, she's a big hairy tank!!!

Zoey went to the Sunshine Gypsy Vanner Horse Show in Jacksonville, FL and I couldn't have been more proud of her!

No, we didn't have a whole crew to dote, spritz, spray, rub down, professional trainers and handlers... you name it! I was amazed and truly didn't expect such huge teams that worked like a true pit-crew on their horses. We didn't have the slinkies, onesies, slickers that the horses wore almost 24/7. They only took them off when they were getting ready to enter the ring, then they were bundled right back up.

Because showing isn't my true passion (nor could I find the time since I work a full time job 🙃 ) I had a team two (one of us isn't a horse person but he didn't complain once 😉) In a lot of ways I felt like Country Come to Town ... BUT, what we did have: We had a great time and it was a perfect training opportunity that doesn't come around very often. I was amazed at the way Zoey handled everything like a pro!!! This baby girl didn't miss a beat. I was able to see just how level headed and solid she really was and she totally amazed me. You can't hide good, solid breeding! Personality and levelheadedness definitely trumps pretty any day... but as a bonus she is an absolutely stunning 10 month old baby girl!

Will I do it again? Absolutely! The people I met were very sweet and helpful. The group that put on the show was also amazingly helpful and answered close to a gazillion questions as I was trying to figure out how to just sign up and be prepared.

Somebody (Zoey) got shaved today for the show coming up in Jacksonville next month. I couldn't have been proud of her. She was a perfect lady throughout the whole process. When a stranger can sit under your 10 month old baby and feel comfortable, it speaks volumes about the levelheadedness and solid breeding of the filly.
Thank you Samantha Everett for doing an amazing job! And a HUGE thank you to her Auntie Joelle for helping out while I had to work.

Livin the dream... After work (yes, I have a full time job) I get to do my second job of running the farm. I finally got around to filling up my tires with dirt. Can't wait to finish, and start using, these obstacles for training

Spa day
Skye is my horse Barbie Doll!!! Yes, she got a hair cut - feathers, tail, and forelock all got chopped 🤣🤣 the mane is getting below her knees when it's straightened out. It's wavy since it just came out of being in braids
