I can’t believe this is happening but we said goodbye to the best boy tonight. When he didn’t want to eat dinner, after never missing a meal in his life I knew something wasn’t right. I’m shocked and heartbroken. For almost 15 years he’s been my partner in crime, from agility weekends, tv and modeling gigs, beach trips, hiking adventures, a wedding, becoming the best big bro, and most of all my best friend.

He was silly, loud, and so smart. I hope I made the most of his life. Losing both of my babies in less than two months from each other from the same devastating disease is that much harder. Can’t believe they are both gone.

I’m sure Fiona was there waiting for him to run the beach together again 🩵 Love you my boy. We will miss you.

I thought we’d have longer together. I cherish all the adventures and memories we’ve made. I just don’t have the words as I stare at your empty bed. Life will be an adjustment without you in it. You’ll be missed by many especially your pack 🩷 Love you sweet girl.

Two weeks ago, after not eating for a few days, we found out that Fiona had tumor bleeding on her spleen. She had emergency surgery that evening to remove her spleen. They noticed no spreading at the moment to other organs but the only way to know if the tumor is benign or malignant is to remove and biopsy. She made through surgery like a champ and seems to be recovering well.
Unfortunately, the results came back as hemangiosarcoma, giving us 2-3 months left with her. Definitely, wasn’t the outcome we’d hoped for but she’s a little fighter so who knows.
In the meantime, we will make her comfortable, love on her lots and do as many of her favorite things as we can🩷 My sweet Fi 🩷
