Monday Musings - nutrition & digestion support from regular BEMER use.

As horse people, you already know how important good nutrition and digestion are for your horses's overall health and performance. But, did you know that using the BEMER horse set regularly can enhance nutrient absorption by improving the microcirculation in the digestive system? Arrived at the barn to ride last night and was greeted by one very muddy Montana (at least I tell myself it was just mud) .... took 20 minutes and left a pile of dust on the alley floor but I got him looking sleek and shiny again! I'm confident he went right back to the mud pile the minute he was turned out after our ride. 🤣.

Question of the day - when is the best time to BEMER my horse during a show weekend, and when should I definitely NOT?

Every horse is different, but here's our take on this topic:

During a show /event - it's a good time to BEMER your horse:

Shortly after arrival at the venue - especially if it was a long haul
After early morning warm ups, provided the first show class they are in is at least 2 hours away
At the end of the show day (after their last class)
Prior to loading up for the haul home

We strongly recommend that you don't BEMER your horse:

Immediately before a class they are showing in - the relaxation will calm them and focus them, but the rapid shift from alert to calm back to alert can be stressful
Immediately after working if they are sweaty or you just hosed them down, or they are wet for any reason
In between show classes where there is less than 2 hours break (even then consider leaving it until the end of their show day)
While they are eating (this is true any time not just during shows)

Regardless of when you do BEMER your horse, please make sure they have access to lots of clean water afterward, and don't let them eat during the session.

Hey friends! I'm happy to confirm that Krymsun Kare will be on site at the upcoming Paint Horse show at PLP August 30th and 31st to offer equine BEMER sessions. This super popular show is sold out so I don't have a designated space, but DM this page to book your horse's sessions. Pricing for all our services is below.

We offer basic blanket only, blanket with 2 cuffs on legs and a targeted application option that includes using the cuffs for specific areas (neck, lumbar, pole, hocks, stifles etc.).

What an exciting weekend at the NBCRA -NHRA show at PLP in Sussex this weekend. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to test out the human BEMER offering, and to those who trusted me to provide BEMER services to your horses. I am grateful for the opportunity to give you and your horses some well earned relaxation throughout what was a very wet but very fun to watch weekend of ranch and reining!!! Back at it after a few days lakeside.

BEMER trials for people available through August - 3 consecutive days for 15 minutes to see what a BEMER can do for you.

Horse sessions are ongoing and we have room for additional clients in August - DM to reserve your spot. Sessions are $30 per horse and discounts are offered for pre-Booking multiple sessions and when booking for multiple horses in a single location.

It’s a beautiful Saturday morning. Montana and I hope y’all have a great weekend and that you take time to relax and recharge.

Trials of the human BEMER are proving popular and showing some really positive results. We have availability the week of July 29th and throughout August. Message me to set up your free three session trial. Results will vary of course - but it only takes 20 minutes a day on 3 consecutive days to see what BEMER might be able to do for you!

We have available slots for horse sessions in the local area starting August 1 as well. Sessions done on your property are $30 each (package discounts are available). Please note someone responsible for the horse must be present at the sessions to catch and handle /prep your horse(s). Multiple horses in one location will receive discounted rates.

Montana checking to see if he’s getting second breakfast or a BEMER sesh. Sadly the answer was no to both - this humid heat is right at the top end of safe BEMER use so we are playing it safe and holding off for now. Rest assured he had already had his full breakfast and is not in any way lacking for food!

Friends- I’m excited to share that Krymsun Kare is now offering free 3 session trials of BEMER therapy tools for humans!

Spending the day in an online BEMER Equine Academy session and I am learning so much about the benefit of regular BEMER use in horses. I will be sharing some of the key learnings and insights over the next few weeks. Suffice to say this is one very versatile and useful piece of therapy equipment!

In response to questions about how often a horse should get a BEMER session, here are some high level guidelines (each horse is different but generally speaking):

For healthy performance (reining, cutting, racing, driving, eventing etc.) horses who are in heavy work, we recommend daily sessions to help accelerate recovery, increase suppleness and mental focus. Ideally, BEMER the horse post workout (optionally you can do 2 sessions - pre and post work during a show/event/race). For lighter working periods or rest weeks - 2 - 3 sessions a week is optimal to maintain benefits.

For other horses (trail partners, lesson horses, periodic riding, young horses in training) who are not in heavy work, 2 -3 BEMER sessions per week aligned with their hardest working days will provide ongoing benefit.

For horses that have experienced a strain or injury using a BEMER 2x a day (at least 6 hours apart) for the first few days post injury can help accelerate healing, and then you can reduce to 2 - 3x a week for maintenance.

Older horses not in regular work still benefit from 1-2 sessions weekly for comfort and relaxation.

The increased circulation and better blood flow provided through BEMER use are cumulative and temporary, so the more consistently you BEMER your horse, the more effective the therapy.
