We are an organized team of Animal Advocates who believe there is a need for a centralized base for animal-related issues in our area. It is our hope that citizens, adopters, rescues, fosters, transporters, volunteers and adoption center staff will come together and share information, ideas, animal-in-need requests, animal-related events ,and Lost and Found pets on this site. The Advocates are asking for positive vibes and prayers for Miss Rue. Her owner has fallen on hard times and reached out for our help. Miss Rue was seen by our vet this morning. She has a large mass inside her mouth and it has now impacted her ability to eat. She is 14 years old and strong. The love between her and her Daddy is very apparent. Tests are being run to see how to go forward. As of now, the estimate for her vet care is around $700. The Advocates are covering that cost. Donations of any sort are greatly appreciated to continue her care. We couldn't help animals like Rue if it weren't for folks like you. We want to extend our deepest thanks to all of you who sent prayers and positivity to little Rain Storm. Your kindness and support meant the world during this difficult time.
Sadly, we don’t have the update we all hoped for. Despite every effort and all the love in the world, his tiny body gave out. We are heartbroken, but we find solace in knowing that he was warm, safe, and deeply loved.
Please keep the Gallien-Pennington Family in your thoughts. They went above and beyond for this little kitten, showing him the care and compassion every creature deserves. We hope they can take comfort in knowing that, in his short life, Rain Storm was surrounded by love.
Fly to the rainbow bridge, little one. You will be missed but never forgotten.
Update: Storm is still hanging on. Keep that love pouring in.
