Look who's taking over A Home for EveryBunny: Iowa's Rabbit Rescue's page this weekend! He's already making ridiculous demands, too. 🤣

Hello hooms! It’s me, Smokey. Do I look familiar? I’m on the cover of the rescue’s Bunny 101 booklet. My mom says it’s because I’m so handsome. But I’m getting ahead of myself.

THIS IS A BUNNY TAKEOVER!! Surrender all of your bananas immediately. I’ve commandeered my mom’s laptop and am now in charge of A Home for EveryBunny’s social media. Watch out, hooms, because I’m going to share the real deal on being a house rabbit. The good, the bad, and the occasional and shocking lack of bananas in this house. Or in my mouth. (As far as I’m concerned, they’re one and the same.) Follow along, if you’d like!

Heyyyyyy people out there in bunny land! Long time no see. 😳 It's been a year. And by that I mean both it's literally been a year since we posted last AND it's been a tough one at that. I'm sure many of you can relate.

We're happy to report that we're still chugging along with all three of our lops and thought this picture of Crumpet was too precious not to share. He recently turned 10, and despite some recent scary health/mobility issues, he's stable and has some old man zip in him at the moment. His back legs drag the floor when he hops, so we always know where he is. And he still loves to follow us all around the house, looking for treats and things to inspect.

It's time for another round of "our hooms are the worst". If you've wondered why we haven't posted much this summer, it's because well, see above. First our hooms went on vacation, gallivanting around the English countryside, hoping to see wild hares (like @Hesper The Hare). To show our displeasure at being left behind, Brûlée got sick, which then allowed us to take our own little vacation to Iowa City (where we got to stay with some people we WISH were our hooms). Then in all this hullabaloo, they forgot Smokey's birthday! Like completely. Not only was there no party, presents, or even even extra treats, but the poor bun didn't even get a "happy birthday, Smoke!". Smokey is now 4, but nobody knows, because our hooms are the worst. BUT the hooms have redeemed themselves...a little. They finally finished our new room! The hooms think they are good at projects, but let me tell you - they are good at starting them, but not so much at finishing them. Although it was not completed in a timely manner, we enjoy our new room, and Brûlée has now performed the ceremonial grand opening binkies.
