After a week or two in the dark and cold, potentially brumating, taking in no food and sticking to his one little cork hide, look who decided to make an appearance. Rex is topping up on his heat and UV ☺️. I’m sure he’ll return to his hide soon.

When Ziggy passed away in 2020, I saw a fan art pic of her on here and I loved it so much I asked if I could have it printed. When Gizmo passed away, I knew I wanted a similar image. I tracked down the artist and commissioned this lovely piece ❤️ I may have accidentally printed Gizmo’s bigger than Zig’s 🙈 but thank you to for producing such a wonderful tribute 💫

It felt very surreal to be making this video, but Gizmo was my first ever reptile, my longest lived pet, and a massive reason I even started my channel in the first place. I wanted to give her a good send off. So all positivity, no tears, just good stories and happy memories ❤ The video is now up on my channel, link in bio.

Remember feeder insects are an important part of a crested geckos diet, not only would they eat them in wild, but hunting down food is a great source of mental and physical enrichment 😊

It with great sadness that I have to announce the passing of Gizmo 😔❤️ We knew it was kind of inevitable, but still hurts so much.
However, I must remember she lived a very long, happy and healthy life, only needing to visit the vets for the first time in the last few months.
She was my first ever reptile, I’ve had her over half my life, and life without her seems very strange 🥺.
She fought hard. I certainly raised a little warrior.

Look how far up his tail goes 😂 I wanted this area to be somewhere he could lay out fully under his heating and uv, but also could easily move closer or further away. Guess the tail needed some extra warmth ☺️

Let's talk cryptic basking! This is a natural behaviour that should be encouraged. A hide made out of pieces of slate can allow your gecko to obtain heat and UV, whilst still partially hiding. For the full video, search 'Reasons Why Your Leopard Gecko Isn't Using Its UV Lamp' on Youtube 😊

Where it all began.

Back in 2006, after 3 years of research and saving, I finally bought my first Leopard Gecko. 6 years on I found myself wanting to share what I had learnt over the years to people around the world - since I didn’t really know anyone else with Reptiles, let alone Leopard Geckos.

So in 2012 I started my channel ‘Leopard Gecko Talk’, also sometimes known simply as ‘Leopard Gecko’. Since then I have been able to connect with a whole range of reptile lovers across the globe, share our knowledge and experiences, and grow as a reptile owner, myself.
