Oscar and Toby wearing their cones like good boys after getting fixed. They were not thrilled about them and I did switch to soft cones the day after. Both boys are extremely sweet and are not afraid to meow softly at you and flop at your feet if they want to be petted or held. They are available for adoption and because they are bonded I am offering 50% off on the second kitten. $1000 for the first one and $500 for the second. They must go home together.

I took Toby and Oscar to be fixed last week and there were several large dogs including a couple talkative huskies. Toby being the ever protective brother to Oscar took position on top of him to make sure he was safe while he looked through the holes of their carrier at the dogs. They are both available for adoption but MUST go home together because they are a bonded pair.

I had forgotten just how exhausting, time consuming, and stressful moving is. But we are now mostly moved into our new place so here are some kitten photos that I took last night. The grey tabby is the only boy.

Unfortunately one of the kittens passed in the middle of the night last week. But the other six are doing great and getting bigger every day.

Emma and the kittens are all doing fine, though Emma is a bit overwhelmed having seven kittens in her first litter. I've been helping her by bottle feeding the kittens a few times a day and helping them to all latch on to Mom so they aren't fighting for milk.

Emma had 7 beautiful kittens. I can't quite tell for sure if there is another kitten left or not so I will stay up for another hour just to be sure.
She is a very protective Mama. Anytime another cat makes too much noise. She starts growling and looking around to make sure her kittens are safe. I just keep petting her and softly telling her that they are safe and that she is a good mama.

I think Emma is going to have her first litter tonight as she is nesting and her sister is staying by her side. I will keep you all posted.

The kittens are now mobile! They are now walking. I am live streaming them Mon to Wed and Friday on my youtube channel if you want to see more. There are streams starting from right after they were born. And now that they are mobile they are no longer limited to just the birthing box and have the whole nursery to walk around in! I finally got Molly to stop Kitnapping Mochi's kittens after convincing Mochi that the larger box was a suitable nest and so Molly brought the kittens a toy so they would have something to play with. Not that they can see it or even know it was there. It is the thought that counts.

Mochi had her first litter of kittens last night. She had two healthy kittens, they both appear at this point to be boys. She is such a proud mama that after she had her first kitten I had to get her to calm down and lay with the kitten because she wanted to make sure I saw what she had made and kept climbing out of her birthing den to be next to me and make sure I was paying attention to both her and her first kitten.

Molly is making me a little sad that I had to fix her though because she has repeatedly KITnapped one of the kittens and it has had to be brought back to the nursery by either me or Mochi.

I found this poor little baby on Saturday in my back yard scarfing down the bird food that I put out to attract birds to the back porch for my kitties to watch. As soon as I saw this I put out some kitten food for her and contacted the local no kill shelter and got a trap from them. I caught last night and I brought her in this morning. They have foster families that specialize in socializing feral kittens like her so that she can have a much better life with a family who will care for her.
