We consider ourselves blessed to be able to share our lives and our home with the rare and beautiful Mi-Ki. We have become totally enchanted with these lovely dogs and know that you will too. Bring on those South Dakota blizzards! The dog pen is now fully winterized - complete with solar lights and a doggie door. Our dogs can safely go in and out to potty as they please!

NOTE: I have had several people comment on my post and also pm me to ask why my dogs live outdoors. So I want to address their concerns:

First of all, Dakota Mi-Kis takes excellent care of their dogs. Our dogs do live in the house as members of our family. The photos are of their secure potty area. This area allows them to go in and out using a doggie door. They are able to potty in an area that is protected from the weather, predators and theft. We also have a large fenced in yard, where they can run and play - with supervision.
