Hello, Im Alfie, and for the past five years, I’ve been providing pet sitting and dog walking services while juggling a full-time job. My genuine care and experience for animals gives owners the reassurance they need in order to leave their fur babies in my safe hands. Nowadays pets are like children, cherished members of the family. Staying in their daily routine is so important as it would be fo
r a human loved one. I like to start off with arranging a care plan with their owners, this can be face-to-face or via email or phone call, whatever is preferred. This plan encompasses their typical daily routine, feeding schedule and nutritional meals, personality traits, toileting habits, walking preferences, bathing and sleeping patterns. Depending on the type of care needed. Being able to indicate signs of how your pet is feeling and over time being attuned to your pets emotions allows me to create a safe, joyful and cozy environment for them while you are away. Services includes:
* Creating a care plan tailored to your pet.
* 1hr Pet sitting (Owners House): Available- hourly, daily, weekly.
* Dog walking :Solo sessions for nervous pups or for an interactive playful session- groups of up to 4.
* Drop ins- Feeding or letting out pets for toilet breaks.
* Paw Pamper Party: Full body Wash- shampoo & conditioner, Blow dry (towel dry for those doggies who fear a hair dryer), Paw massage with puppy pad oil, nose balm, ear and teeth clean and to finish off some doggie perfume. All ingredients used are all dog friendly for sensitive skin. Will need to use owner’s facilities. I may not have professional experience in training dogs however I have successfully trained multiple dogs to follow various commands. A typical day:
Dogs should be stimulated mentally and physically. Long scenic walks with different smells to explore is really essential for their well-being, not only is it physically tiring it is also mentally stimulating. 20 minutes of sniffing is equivalent to an hours walk so by combining the two, your energetic fury baby will be thoroughly exhausted. If your dog is able to go off the lead, then I would also take them to open fields where I could use a ball thrower allowing them to run freely. I like to play “find me” with some of the dogs I sit for. I play this by either making them wait while I go and hide somewhere in the house, or I hide treats around the house for them to sniff out. Plenty of tugging toys and teaching new commands. If your dog is social, maybe a fun visit to a park to socialise or let them join in on a Pack Walk. Taking them for a dip if your dog likes water. Relaxing pamper session. Doggie photo shoot for parents while they are away. Most importantly, lots of positive encouragement and cuddles.
