Teaching the Best Dog in the World- Yours !!!
Pawsitive Pups Training has a strict policy on utilizing a no harm, positive reinforcement approach to teach. Therefore, no aversive equipment such as choke, pinch or shock collars are ever permitted. I strive to do my best to teach you, the owner, to have a well mannered and confident life long companion and family member. The training provided is geared towards owning a pet dog rather than to the obedience “show dog” standards meaning there will be no high stress testing or points required in order to pass or complete the program. I also go above and beyond teaching the basics such as sit, down, stay etc. to help you and your pup out in real life situations. Lifelong support and advice is provided for the specific dog enrolled in each program providing it does involve aggression.
I will help you to learn how to train any breed of pup starting as young as 12 weeks old. I offer only private one on one lessons out of the training room in my home. Not only does this allow all my time and attention to be focused solely on you and your dog, there is also no need to wait for a full class to commence, it is also a great option if your pup is fearful or reactive towards other dogs, or has not received their complete vaccination schedule. I encourage and welcome you to bring along one other family member from your household as well (children must be of an age and maturity level that they are able to follow instruction and not interrupt the lesson). In the event you have special circumstances, I can provide the service at your home (within city limits), providing there is sufficient space in an area with minimal distractions. It is my hope that either option will allow for a consistent 4 week schedule (one hour per week) that fits your lifestyle.
