These sweet kitties are available for adoption through CNY Cat Coalition 🧡

🐈 Penelope - Adult Female, very sweet, gentle, playful and lovable. She needs to go to a home where she can be the only cat. This gal hasn’t received any applications 😔

🐈‍⬛ Max & Ruby - These kittens are about 3.5 months old and bursting with energy! They’re a bonded paid and must be adopted together. They would do best in a home that can give them lots of attention and playtime.

🐈 Rambo - He is roughly 4 months old, and would love to be adopted with one (or both!) of his sisters! He is reserved at first, but very playful once he gets to know you.

🐈‍⬛ Madison - She is 4-4.5 month old Tortie without the ‘tude. She’s as sweet as can be, but comes off as shy at first. She should be adopted with one of her littermates, or to a home that already has friendly cats for her to play with.

I have 2 kittens who are pending adoption, and 12 other babies who are waiting on final vaccines, spay/neuter or medical attention before they can be adopted. I’ve had to put a pause on taking in any new cats and even TNR while I recoup some of the last months expenses. I’m hoping this fall I’ll have some successful adoptions and can jump back in 🧡

If you want to help, we are very low on kitten food! Dry and wet. The Kitten Coop - Amazon Gift List - https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/3IZMZ4SCE7WT8

Max & Ruby!

Max (black, boy) and his sister Ruby (grey, girl) are 3.5 month old kittens who were born under a porch in the university area this spring. They were fortunate enough to have some very kind neighbors who looked after them and ultimately got them into foster care. Having been exposed to good people at a young age, these two are super outgoing and friendly!
While Max is usually the trouble maker, Ruby is his accomplice. It seems as if they have a bottomless pit of energy - always on the go. If you can tire them out, you will have yourself a pair of lap cats. They purr almost instantly when you pet them and they loooove to snuggle with their human!
These siblings will require a lot of play time and attention. Max and Ruby are a bonded pair and *must* be adopted together.

If you're interested in meeting Max and Ruby to see if they're a good fit for your home you can apply online at cnycatcoalition.org/adoption/adoption-application

Darling Penelope 🤍

The sweet couple who rescued her tried adopting her into their home, but unfortunately she did not mesh well at all with their existing cats despite many careful attempts to introduce. They were devastated to bring her back, but knew it was what was best for her. Now it’s time to find the best home that we can for her!

When Penelope first came into foster care she was suffering from a severe uterine infection. Thankfully we were able to get her in for an emergency spay which likely saved her life. She is one of the most grateful, sweet kitties that I’ve met. If there’s an open lap, she’s on it. She doesn’t take long at all to warm up to you, and will love you with all she’s got. She prefer's to be the center of attention, as she does not get along with other cats.

If you would consider opening your home and your heart to sweet Penelope, please fill out an application at at cnycatcoalition.org/adoption/adoption-application.

Your adoption fee of $120 each contributes to the cost of veterinary treatments the cat has received, such as spay/neuter, rabies and distemper vaccines, testing, deworming medication, microchips, and flea and ear mite treatments.

A peek inside one of the foster-kitten rooms 💕🤍 I rearranged a little bit so I could have a couple crates for quarantining newbies, or the extra spicy babies. The upper crate is our “dining hall”! That’s where breakfast and dinner are served so I can close them in and clean up 🧽🧺🧹

Meet Plankton! This little boy is on his road to recovery after his procedure today. He had to undergo a surgical Enucleation to remove his severely infected and ruptured eye.

He is one of 11 kittens I’ve trapped from this university colony. I keep thinking I’m nearing the end of the kitten population but unfortunately they’re showing up faster than I can get to them. There are at least two little babies left, both of which are in rough shape like this little dude. If you’re able to contribute towards Planktons medical care, it would be hugely appreciated.

My downstairs foster room is compiled of mismatched kittens from the same colony I’ve been plugging away at. I think I have two, maybe 3 different batches of kitten families here? After tonight, I think there are only two kittens left to catch but I feel like I’m racing the clock! The older they get, the more difficult it is to break them off their feral tendencies.

This is the newest sister, Clover 🍀 can’t wait to see you glow up 🌈☀️

Clover makes kitten # 14! I also have two adults in foster care at the moment as well. I’m overwhelmed, but making it all work. If you want to purchase a bag of food, toys, or precious litter I linked our registry below ⬇️

June Recap

Last month 15 new felines made their way through my home.

🐾 4 kittens from Manlius (transferred to another CNYCC foster)
🐾 8 kittens from Syracuse, checked into the coop!
🐾 2 feral adults from Syracuse, spayed/neutered and returned.
🐾 1 adult rescued from the streets of Syracuse was brought in for TNR, but sadly had to be euthanized due to extreme infection and injury.

🐾 Adoptions:
Ben & Jerry, Joe, and Mocha!

Marty & Shannon 95X had Joe and I on their station for and donated a great bundle of supplies to keep us going 🎁

Between 4 cats we racked up over $1,000 in medical bills for sick vet visits. That doesn’t include their spay/neuter procedure, flea and worm medication, or food and litter. None of this would be possible without the help of CNY Cat Coalition and the donations we receive. If you want to get involved in cat rescue there are so many ways you can help 😊 foster, volunteer, sponsor, donate and help us educate!

In the beginning of May I learned about a sweet Momma cat who was living in a cardboard box on a porch in the city of Syracuse, with her 6 kittens in tow. I luckily found the perfect foster for her and her babies just in time 🩷 Mom, “Grace Kelly” is now available for adoption through CNY Cat Coalition! Let’s find this thankful kitty a loving home.

About a week and a half ago I picked up these two babies(aka Max&Ruby), and TNR’d their ferocious momma. They had taken up residency under this porch and are part of a much larger colony. I ended up taking in 4 other kittens from the same location throughout the last week, as well as 2 other feral adults.

Yesterday when I was returning momma cat to her outdoor home (she has been spayed and vaccinated) I peeked under the porch only to find two NEW kittens from a different litter in the same spot. Needless to say, they came back to the coop with me last night. They are named Sagwa & Fufu! After one of my favorite childhood shows 🦇🐾

I’m hoping that the neighbors on this street will see a difference in weeks, months, and years down the road and I try to get the cat population under control.
